I would like to love procreate dreams and use it for all 2D pipeline animation but its far from what Callipeg or Clip studio can offer. I really cant wait to see next procreate dreams update, because for a V1 its really good but thats need a little more to be great
I'm looking forward to this app being completed. The beta that we all paid for is pretty interesting! The promised feature of the .dream file working in procreate to produce an infinitely sized canvas is going to be amazing. Also I'm looking forward to the basics like a lasso tool. Exciting stuff! When is v2 coming?
@@moritakaishida7963its not just lasso tool, you can't even merge layers yet, or move multiple layers at a time. There are so many basic things still missing even a year after release.

Thank you for teaching, Mr Grigg, much respect. I can't really use Dream much, because it doesn't support keyboard. I use Procreate with an Apple Keyboard attached to a Sketchboard Pro, it makes it such a wonderful way to work. using touch to switch between tools, undo/redo is okay, but since they're not doing what I want 100% of the time, then it feels unreliable and clunky. Otherwise it is such a nice way to work on animation.
Love use Dreams for animation, There is still something missing to make the app even more fantastic but I have already done very interesting things on my channel and more will come💪💪💪

I know how hard the team works to give us the best product, but communication has been awful. Please keep your customers in the loop for how production is going. Every time you go silent for months at a time we wonder why we've waited this long for procreate dreams.
@Procreate Thank you, I guess that internal date is just a lot later than I had thought. It would be nice to know more about why its taking so long. Its not very fair to say features will come in an early update when those updates would take over a year.
I wish we had an in-depth guide for how to use procreate dreams like Alex, I’ve been tinkering with it for the last year. And I’ve made a few improvements, but what I imagine doesn’t quite match what I’d like to create

Another small issue that regularly happens is that my hand always presses play when i draw (i don’t expand the screen so i can move between different distances faster)
To Procreate company: Creating a Procreate Dreams tutorial that caters to everyone from beginners to advanced users would be incredibly beneficial. It would help a lot of artists enhance their skills and make the learning process enjoyable!

Meanwhile ToonSquid is working on 2.0 that has rigging with inverse kinematics, animatable custom meshes, animatable perspective and warp and much more. And there’s a decent chance that will be out before dreams even gets the lasso tool
