I've been to many temples around Thailand and I would like to say Wat Paknam is a temple where you will really get to experience the Thai culture as a lot of the other temples are full of tourists taking photos but here is a more local area and you see a lot of local people practicing Buddhism.

As for the mussel dish, it normally comes with a red sauce. The sauce is a mix of sweet chilli sauce and sriracha sauce.

I got an idea while watching... 💡 the boat ride was cheap, so I might try and rent one for an entire day and cruise around with the skipper as my new friend and tour guide eating and drinking all day 😉 might even do that with a taxi driver ... these kinds of new friends can come in handy 🤔

The interior of the red temple was so richly and beautifully decorated. The boat tour looks relaxing although the roofed version is better if it's the middle of the day because of the heat.
