The tv show has been on my watchlist since it came out I really need To watch it soon! But I did not Know this is a book adaption so I’m definitely going to get the book aswell 😍😍
The book wasn't that well written. I kept wanting to pick up my red pen and mark up the book for further editing. I thought the publisher did a very poor job with editing the author's work - grammar problems, logical inconsistencies, lack of transitions, confusing narrative (does she want to be a fiction writer or a non-fiction writer?). The topic is interesting and Beth Macy does a good job of explaining the background. I'm still reading the book (haven't seen the show) and need to reach much more to finish it. But because of the poor writing I'd probably give it a 2 out of 5 at this point.
Yeah, it's not the most well-written nonfiction piece, which is why I ended up giving it 3 stars. I do think the adaptation is worth a watch once you finish!

The adaption is worth watching as soon as you can! So, so good. I hope you like the book as well!
