Fact: since the Facebook rebranding to META. THE profile locking has been removed. So there's no locking profile in the Facebook right now. To the Facebook user who have locking profile setting you are lucky because it permanently you have it and those who have not then it's unlucky.
This makes sense, its about time SOMEONE explained why it wasnt working for anyone else... I didnt even know that the change to meta removed the feature from everyone who hadnt gotten it before then thanks

It is no longer available for new profiles, only ones who can have it right now are those lucky enough to have activated it before Meta conversion occured. Unfortunately I gave them two forms of ID one my legal name and one my alias name the alias name is under account they still tripping on me is there any other way!

This works on Android only. iPhone does not have any "profile locking" option under Settings and Privacy.
