My all time favourite Lion. Kitch epitomized what Millwall is. His heart was Millwall & he'll always be in our hearts. TRUE MILLWALL LEGEND.Great tribute vid.
The greatest man ever to have worn a Millwall shirt. He deserves a statue outside of the Den, a true gentleman and wonderful person. I count myself lucky enough to have seen most of his playing years. Good bless Kitch you will be missed.
I would say Number 2 to Harry Cripps who produced a roar every time he youched the ball. Saw Kitch at Norwich away lomg after he retired. Amazingly I had a programme from the Mid 1960's " introducing one of our brightest future young stars "....Barry Kitchener !.." When The Kitch goes up to lify the league cup We'll Be there ! We'll be there !..Villa Q/Final away 1970's..we lost 2/0 !!
One of my early away days following the Lions was on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Plymouth in May 1982. We lost 2-1 and Barry had a shocker. Didn't know at the time it would be the last time I'd see him on the pitch though, wish I hadn't shouted so much at him that day :-(
Over 600 games Wow great servant. I was there for the minutes applause Cardiff City held for him. He deserved it. Cardiff fan.
