@@koawang0609 there is a couple modifications that can be done to this transmission that will let it hold around 600tq Been done for a few yrs in Europe now. Change a couple hollow dowel pins to solid and a couple c clips And fixes the reason why these fail under to much tq. Theres a diy video om here from a European guy doing the mod to a miata transmission

Im also going to offer the service to do the actual swap start to finish for local people close to Niagara. I did the 1st start the other day and started right up! Everything functions like it should and electric steering works. I ended up going with haltech elite 1500 ecu and haltech wb1 wideband. Its still a canbus ecu but has much better features for tuning then adaptronic has
I crashed it in September. Hit a deer then hydro pole! Everything is almost swapped over to my 06 shinka. Its a much nicer build when you do it the 2nd time.still very lucky to be alive as the car flipped into a hydro pole 14ft up and hit across drivers door and windshield to roof.

@scottpatterson4974 stock internals are still good for 500whp range. I ran 609whp for abit on a stock k20. I did blow the engine up that was in this video and built a darton sleeved k24 with this k20a2 head. I will say firewall clearance is way better with the type s head because coolant port location. It was pretty easy to be honest. Just time and work and of course money. Ive changed the car a tonne since this video. If its your 1st swap you might find it difficult possibly. Ive done a handful of car builds now so found this straight forward
@@audirx8 Yeah, sweet, i Like learning and this swap seems logical to me. can pick up rx8 cheap with blown motor for like 2k aud, maybe sell parts off blown motor? i got a k24 for 1k already, just get the kit and follow instructions, i guess getting engine in place/trans the biggest part. Then ecu,wiring, turbo kit. Can use electric AC/electric PS pump so dont have to run off engine. turbo kit whats the servicability like ?

What ecu are you going to run? You should need to re wire the gages if running adaptronic ecu or haltech elite 1500. I switched my ecu to the haltech elite. Ill try to put the link up here for the wiring though
@@audirx8 I have kpro on it. I’ve just got the motor in the car so far and everything mocked up. About to pull everything out for powder coating and paint. Trying my best to make this car act and work like it come from the factory. Working air con, power steering, gauges ect
@@Asimo380 your aware that you need to keep stock ecu to run the dash? Keep that ecu and oil pressure,coolant temp,and crank trigger wheel from rx8 and stock rx8 throttle body all on stock rx8 ecu.then k pro runs the actual engine
@@audirx8 yes I’m aware of that. I’ve did a ton of research on doing this swap. Just haven’t found the actual wiring diagram I need to pin the engine ecu into the oem unit.

I made the header,downpipe,mid section and magnaflow rear section for rx8 that i bumped up at the y at rear to 3in. Just blew rod through oil pan last night in this car. Was making 608rwhp 459tq for months. So now the k24 im building will go in
I ditched the s2k rad and went with a full aluminum tank rad and shroud for a 1980's vw rabbit Kinda like a speedfactory tucked for honda. Probably same manufacturers. I didn't want to have rad hoses running across the pass to drivers side that would be needed using rx8 rad So s2k rad had both on drivers side but ended up being to tall. The tucked rad im using is 25in wide 12in tall 2.5in thick So its mounted on slight angle but doesn't go all the way to bottom and bolt to subframe. Its nice i can put car on hoist and pull crank pulley or whatever now since the rad isn't in the way. I really need to make a update video now that its running/driving and on the road. She runs 6.13 60-130mph right now and tuning has just really started
Its a k miata made for rwd k swaps. Really nice pc. And has a 3L plenum. Made 605rwhp 458tq the other day on this car like nothing. I wouldn't do s2000 intake its to small to make bigger power
Yes! Been daily driving the car for the last 3 weeks. Had 3 tune updates then next is hit the dyno to fine tune it. Car rips rn at 25psi. Sideways 2nd,3rd,4th with 255 rear tires.will make a update vid soon, I ended up going with haltech elite 1500 ecu and haltech wb1 wideband and tuned by shawn made plug n play harness. Everything works on dash like stock and electric steering also. Very oem feel just alot more power. My camera lens is broke so have to use selfi mode rn Crap quality
Im making 608rwhp 458wtq now for 5 months. Blew engine up a few weeks ago and back up and driving now. Tranny outlasted a k series lol. Im building a darton sleeved weisco piston k24 now so will really find out what power the tranny can take. 800whp will be next power level

Ayeee that's alex old kmiata intake. He notched it to clear the rx8 booster. It's an issue using the sas swap kits and the kmiata intake.
