  • This video i aimed to help people who don't have the option to get a replacement fan and or don't have the time it takes for the replacement part to arrive. Also aimed for people who like to save money and love DIY.
If you have any questions i'll be more than happy to answer them in the comments. Thanks!

Thanks for the video, this is my exact issue. What kind of grease did you use?

your not supposed to grease the shaft. dismantle the housing to reveal the bearing, try greasing it but its cheaper to replace the bearing with a new one.

This is hardcore. I would just replace the fan with a new one.

I would like to know, what is the size of the heat sink, I bought one and I intend to exchange it, but as it did not arrive I do not know the size.

Sorry but sadly i don't have the card anymore to measure that for you.

what would happen if you zip tie a 120mm fan on top of the heatsink and connect the header to the motherboard. The fan can be control via a software called fan control.

Nothing really. A 120mm fan should if anything improve thermal performance and noise levels.
Though I believe for the size od the card a 92mm fan would be more fitting.

What size torx screws are those at 00:30.

I am asking because I need to buy a set of torx drivers to make this repair and I want to make certain the set will handle these screws.

@@stedew001 Sorry for my late answer but sadly i don't have the card anymore so that i could check. Though it's either T8 or T6 torx. Hope it helps!

@@gallep4894 I bought a Kaisi Precision Screwdriver Set from Amazon that did the trick. I was concerned with the smaller torx screws holding the cover on and I think they turned out to be T3s. Thanks for the response.

Could be very similar. Most fans are quite the same design vise.
