    I have known Alistair from he was sixteen. I can remember him showing me his first prototype carbon guitar in Derry. I have always been a high-end, handmade Takamine, Seagull Yamaha player and loved the sound of big guitars. In the beginning, some of the smaller bodied guitars in the Emerald range didn't give me the big sound I wanted. That was until l played one of the first X20 guitars and heard the difference that having a sound hole facing the player made. I would please ask Alistair and his team to put a video up showing off the big guys of this guitar range. I would love to hear the difference between the X20, X20 baritone and the X30. I am very proud of Alistair and all he has achieved, we used to attend the same Church and l have drank many cups of coffee at his home in Donegal. Emerald is an Irish success story and also the story of how Alistair refused to give up on his dreams of giving the world a totally redesign concept of what a guitar is. I am now thinking of revisiting an Emerald guitar and would love to hear the difference between the tone and sound of your larger guitars in the range.

    This is the first time I have come across your channel.I have fallen in love with your guitars.I heard them played on another channel.The sounds are awesome.l probably cant afford one right now, but in time somehow I beleive I will be blessed with one of those guitars.A guitar that makes you not want to stop playing. Great work guys.

    Love your products.. I am a guitarist for 55 years .. many instruments am I.. on your demo's, please show their intonation by playing something MORE than G and C etc.,first position chords..! On your shorter scale instrument , the harder to get notes in tune .. show off the higher fretts.. ! There is where you skills will be shown .. they are BEAUTIFUL.. Keep it up ! Let us here more of them .. Peace my Brothers..

    For live musicians it's good to have a buildin pickup and a buildin in tuner

    • @emeraldguitars
      @emeraldguitars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      These aren't ovation guitars - but hand built carbon fiber. And they do come with a built in pick up installed and also a tuner at your request.

    One of my guitar Adamas Ovation Custom made..I don't use it often cause there's no buildin pickup

      The guitars we build here come standard with a built in pickup.

    Nice Video! My X-20 Nylon was shipped to the USVI late last year. I have moved to California this year. Unfortunately I broke a finger which has not allowed me the opportunity to play much. I could kick down there to see you guys. Please send your itinerary to me for the SF or more northern places you are going to visit. I intend to buy my son a Bass, I'll try to bring him down.. YOu did not have this wood veneers at the time I ordered. I may want a 12 string unit.

    My only problem is which one that I would like the best. I love the X7 that I own. So X10, X20 or X30. Lean towards the X20 but possibly even the X10. Hand fatigue can be a problem for me due to multiple surgeries on my hands in the past. Any sage advice would be appreciated. Hmmm May actually be able to purchase one this year!

    • @emeraldguitars
      @emeraldguitars  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Woodmeister, If hand fatigue is an issue I would recommend the X10 for it has a slightly faster neck. Alternatively you could modify the neck on any of our guitars to find the perfect fit for you.

    All about that x30 body. That's the one for my 8 string magnetic idea. Big Sexy
    Wait so only the one comes with magnetic? It's nice of course but that's a let down. I use 12-52 NYXL on my Takamine with a magnetic soundhole and internal mic blend and that's what I would want to replace.

    Naja, ich würde die Instrumente gerne mit weiteren Akkorden hören. G, D, C, E ist ok aber was ist mit den höheren Skalen? Intonaten is the goal!

    You say that you are not a good guitar player, but how can that be true? If you play an Emerald, you are playing a good guitar thus, you ARE a good guitar player...no?

    wheres the leftys??????? I must say they are beautiful and sound the same but one thing is missing where is the left handed guitars you're forgetting about another whole side of musician I'll just buy a gretch

    Your guitars sound simular to an Ovation guitar, but more richer and louder. I guess carbon fiber will replace wood. I'm not board hearing it! "JOKE!" "OH!" "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BUILD A ACOUSTIC BASS GUITAR?!" That's the only one I haven't seen in your collection. A bass acoustic guitar! I think it would sound awesome! "They all sound super!"

    Hermosas guitarras , es una lástima que el tipo que las toca no pasa de 3 acordes . Felicitaciones al constructor .
