I know this video is almost a year old, but I had to add my two cents worth. We had a 2021 Bronco that got multiple chips the first couple of weeks we owned it. We repaired them at our own cost. Then a bigger rock made a bigger chip (HOLE) and we had to replace the windshield. After that, we added this deflector. We never had to repair another chip. We just traded up (from Big Bend to Outer Banks w/Sasquatch)for a 2023, and added this deflector within the first week of possession! If you want to protect your investment, you cannot spend a better 90 Dollars!
I had the matte finished Ford Deflector installed prior to pick-up - it seems to shift the air-stream up - haven't had pebble or rock issues... Looks just like the one you installed! The Dealer Installed it - and it's perfectly aligned - no warp - no fitment issues..
We installed the Ford deflector before a trip from San Diego to Tucson and seemed to work pretty good, we hard no hits from rocks but going back and forth through El Centro Ca. we hit every bug flying, most on the windshield hits were on the top third so it did ok, the fit was great and my hubby loves the look 😀
YOU SHOULD INSTALL THIS MOD ASAP! I have probably 2 dozen mods on my Bronco and this one was the best (Suma Performance Mirrors come in a close second)! This simple mod will save you time and money (pebble chips/cracks and bug littered windshields) down the road because it is extremely effective at creating a slipstream over your hood and windshield! I received a crack 5 miles from home (on my way from the dealership) while taking delivery a year ago! 12 months later, after installing this mod, i have not noticed any more cracks or bug debris on my windshield! Absolutely worth it’s weight in gold!
Mine fit perfectly. Before I installed it, I couldn’t drive 20 miles without my windshield being covered in bugs. Very frustrating…especially after a fresh detailing. Now I hardly ever catch a bug to the glass. The thing works amazingly well! And, to my surprise looks pretty good also.
I had the same figment issue and thought I wasn’t lining it up right. Barely noticeable tho and luckily my bronco is black. I’m also happy with the way it looks 👍🏼
Make sure to have those rock chips fixed before they turn into cracks. There are even diy kits. Basically the chip gets filled with epoxy and you scrape the surface smooth. It’s both a cosmetic and structural fix.
First drive on the Highway I also got a rock chip on my Bronco windshield, didn't feel great replacing the a cracked windshield less than two weeks of ownership. Nothing in the last year, but the bugs are the issue still, taking a closer look at these now.
No real fitment issues here but not sure why this gets lots of raves as it barely works.... Got a chip in the windshield before it and a cracked windshield after it. Definitely wont stop rocks, maybe pebbles. Maybe. Does so so on bug guts. Just glad I used my Ford Points since I didn't waste my own money on it....🙄
Fitment isn’t the greatest I have the same issue with the driver side corner peaking out ever so slightly I had to install 2 of them and it seem like on all edges of the deflector is off definitely poor quality control but it’ll do
Do you think this actually works? I am debating on getting one but I can't see this deflecting rocks from hitting your hood it seems it would have to hit the deflector which isnt that big.
I have one. Not sure if I like it yet. I live in the woods and farm lands where there are lots of bugs. I still end up with a windshield covered in bugs. Debating on taking it off because if it’s not working like planned why keep it
Nice job, I like the way it looks, it will probably help somewhat for flying debris, that being said, everything seems to be 3M tape, my 77 K5 blazer was screwed under the hood, more secure, could also be removed and cleaned underneath whenever you want, as much as it looks good I wouldn't spend the money on a bug deflector that's held on with 3M tape, again good job and it looks great
Im up in the air how i feel about that. It takes up alot of real estate on thr hood. But if it works its worth it. Did u get any ford points when u biught thr bronco?
Yes, we got a ton. Also had some saved up from service on my wife's previous Explorer and my old Ranger. Was able to get hood deflector and cargo mat with points left over.
Have you noticed a moderate increase in wind noise especially with the windows down? I just attribute it to the deflector working properly. I have the same one and I did have the same figment issues, but it’s not really noticeable.

That's really good to hear!
Good to read.. ordered mine I just need to pick it up from the dealer.

Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻
We bought ours with FPp, and had the dealer install. Wife approved.
Mine works quite well! Check out the hood scoop!

Already done. Even made a video on the process. 👍🏻
Interesting. Just noticed a clip on the front of my hood, and assumed it was from a rock. Was thinking I need one of these as well.

Does so so on bug guts.

Good to know. Thanks!
I live in a 4 seasons climate , How does it hold up in winter ? And if it brakes can it be removed ? Please feel free to comment. Thxs
What’s the difference between the hood deflector 1 and 2?
After installing this deflector on my bronco, I have a whistle while driving down the road. this happened to anyone else?
Yep seems to be coming from the top right side, first time I noticed it I thought it was a window or door not fully closed

Looks great hope it works 👍

I can't say that I've noticed it. We really don't have the windows down a lot. The Bronco was not all that quiet to begin with anyway. 🙂
No difference on road noise
