I don't know why these doctors choose to become an IAS. India needs more doctors than civil servants today and if you had wanted to become a doctor, why waste an MBBS seat. Now don't say that they don't know during UG that they gonna write this exam. Seriously.
Faizan Ahmed lol..all the deans, medical superintendents and some other authoritative positions require mbbs and md graduates to run the office. those people never practice medicine aftr taking up their administration roles. so, what do u gonna say to that? but on the other hand if u think of it in this way tht a doctor has more understanding about medical needs of the society and thus can make medical policies accordingly. So, an mbbs ias is also an intrgral part of the society.
