Yeah, I'm here because of our online class assignment to make a reflection paper about impossible dream. I was wondered to watch this and crying until the end. I was thinking about my mother always sacrificing for us. This gender equality is teach us, when people of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities. So if you are not able to did the gender equality maybe this short animation movie is big help for you, for us. That we need to do an valuable action, learn to have a equality in every responsiblities. Nowadays its good to us to watch this, its teach how to handle our resposibilities as women, or men, for mens you need to do is love your wife as you love her, when you court or dating her. You can help her as you help her when you guys are starting in a relationship. To those women who is abusing herself, because your reason is " I'm a mother, that's why i need to do all things in our house" . Yes your right mother, but not at all time you need to do all that things, maybe you can ask your husband, your son and your daughter to help you to fix things in your home.
Dont abuse yourself mother, just love yourself, you're a person not a machine, thats why you have right to rest not to abuse youself.
Being equal make us great person.

This video shows the gender issues in an institution. The influence of gender that shapes the lives of people in a society. The first and middle part of the video shows the generalization of an organization on what should be the role of male or female. We always think all females should do household chores like cleaning, cooking, doing the laundry, and taking care of their children. The female should serve the male. In the video, both males and females had allowed working, but as you can see, the difference in their work, given loads of work and the difference in their wages. The female manages her wages for her family, buying groceries for the family. While the male using his money on his leisure and hobbies. We know that females are flexible, but their not robots. In the last part of the video, when the female dreams about her wish, "will be someday that her husband helps her in cooking, and their children help her in cleaning and taking care of their brother" is it possible there will be someday the rights she needs will be given equally?

This should not be out/removed from the internet, i still want to show this to my future husband (if I decide to have one). An excruciating reality for women, but we need to teach young children of the segregation of roles, the equal one. We need to let them understand this unequal treatment and problem faced by the women sector so that we can be able to turn this dream into reality.

This is a powerful reminder of the challenges that working women face in society. It highlights the issue of gender inequality both at home and in the workplace. Women often have to work twice as hard as men to achieve the same level of success, which puts them at a disadvantage. It emphasizes the importance of gender equality, which means having equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for all genders. It's important for both men and women to understand their roles in maintaining gender equality. Women should remember that they have the right to rest and not to abuse themselves, while men should support and help their wives in their daily responsibilities. It shows how gender influences people's lives in societ. As a society, we need to do more to support women in their careers and create more opportunities for them to pursue their dreams and ambitions without having to compromise their personal lives. This video inspires us to take action and create a more equitable and just society for all.

if you're not gonna go to school full-time, get to work. Children historically have done plenty of maunal labor and other unskilled work; as long as they are prevented from doing anything very demanding or dangerous, they can and should be allowed to work for limited amounts of time a day. (obviously don't let them work for more than about 10-15 hours a week, give them plenty of breaks/make sure they're fed at their job for free, and they should be working under the supervision of someone who can be trusted to put the child's needs ahead of profit.)
even moreso are the "dropout" kids; kids that cut class, make Ds and Fs on a regular basis, don't put effort in school, and generally aren't there to even try and learn.
Those kids should be offered the chance to get jobs first, since it will teach them how to be self-sufficient early in life and give them a chance to at least get good at *something* so they're productive members of society and aren't disrupting and distracting the children at school who actually want to learn.
There's nothing wrong with a child working; labor laws need to be reformed to give children a chance to be part of the workforce so they get a taste of what life's gonna be like as an adult.

The video depicted gender equality in a realistic manner. It is apparent that women are frequently expected to do housework and are required to conduct errands for the family, such as paying bills and meeting the family's basic needs. Because the video is merely a half-glass presented scene, it should be labeled as something "How dreams can come true" instead of "The Impossible Dream." Females are adaptable, but they aren't robots, as we all know. We're all human, and it's perfectly fine to be vulnerable at times. We should not place limits on what, when, or how we can accomplish in life because we are all capable of anything. And, setting expectations from how males and females should function, isn't really living at all. Let us consider and work on our capabilities for a greater change.

In my personal experience, I was also the one who would always perform chores in our home and my brother will not contribute anything unless asked. I also once heard from my brother that we should not obligate him in taking part in doing household chores because it is women’s responsibility. I think this kind of perception over the unfair division of labor where it significantly disadvantaged women is influenced by the traditional gender roles expectations established for them in the household. Also, the Impossible Dream video shows that in a family, household responsibilities take place to keep the family running. But oftentimes, women and men do not equally share these responsibilities and workloads. Whereas, in the Impossible Dream, the wife who also goes to work to provide for the financial needs of the family like her husband does still perform almost the entire strenuous domestic responsibilities from the day up to the night. The division of labor is apparently unequal. On a side note, I want to take into consideration the less pay she is earning which might be a contributing factor to why her husband is withdrawing from attending the household tasks. The amount of gap of the wages contribution in a family can also be an influenced to this existing unfair share of workloads. However, this response is not always the case because even these days where women in the family engage in paid labor and contribute an equal fair share to the financial needs of their family, the household labor they managed is not being reduced.

The concept of this short animation really reflect the real situation of gender inequality in the societies, though nowadays the modernized civilization have help improved some aspects, the gender constrain still exist. And one tipping point that I have observed is that all relevant stakeholders include policies makers and implementers do not yet diving deep enough into the positive attitude toward what could be really done to bring about the better world for everyone. Starting from this animation, what if we change the title to " Would the dream possible? or How could we make the dream possible?"

  • @abigailroflooo5998

This short animation tells us that gendered division of household work is accepted almost everywhere. Boys are more likely than girls to have maintenance chores like mowing the lawn while girls are given domestic chores like cooking and cleaning. This segregation of household labour tells children that they are expected to take on different roles based on their gender.

Gender roles in society refer to how we are expected to act, speak, dress, groom, and behave based on our assigned sex. Girls and women, for example, are expected to dress traditionally feminine and to be polite, accommodating, and nurturing. Men are stereotyped as being strong, aggressive, and daring.
Gender role expectations exist in every society, ethnic group, and culture, but they can vary greatly. They can also change over time within the same society. A stereotype is a widely held opinion or bias about a person or group, even if it is overly simplified and not always correct. Gender stereotypes can lead to unequal and unfair treatment based on a person's gender.

    GNED 01 - Art Appreciation
    BSIS 1-2
After I watched the video, I realized about the meaning about how difference society of women and men. Men do a little at home or most of the time they do nothing. While women do more like cleaning, cooking, taking care of the needs of her husband and her children and aside from that she also need to work to earn money. Regarding the salary, men earn more than women. Like what the woman dream of, gender equality should be implemented in all part of the world.

The one thing I really don't like is that they made his job look like a cake walk. Operating heavy machinery is generally a dangerous job, and is a bit more than sitting back and lounging around. In this case, you can't compare their salaries. They're working separate jobs, with different employers. A lot of people make more money per hour than I do, but it's not because of who I am, it's because that's just how much I'm given.

it's because you see the very complainy naggy message this biased film is trying to tell. it's a sign they have no idea what men do every day. or why the men deserve more if they do construction.

Why is there still a household work gender gap inequality? I don't understand, from where the social expectation and stigma for gender role can be announced and being accepted? if men shouldn't or couldn't be the house project manager. Men need to care about their lovely wife gettin health physically and mentally too.
I genuinely do appreciate and thankful to a guy who always inititative to cleaning his dishes, also independently make a meal anything he wants or simplifying abt prepare all the things he needs to. Although, he has a wife but keep treating her like a partner, sharing the kindness and transparancy, caregiving, making a deal and communicate well.
Hopefully my future husband and son read this comment ahahha lol

    the message:
*Husbands:* pitch in around the house a little, THEN turn on the tv! and consider making your family dinner every once in a while/running a few loads of your own stinky laundry! jeez... she's your partner for life, not your servant! Also if your wife asks you for some help, it's not being a nag, it means "hey I can't do this on my own, I need my man!" plus you never know, some women think it's kinda attractive when their guy can tilt up the entire couch with one hand and vacuum under it with the other, or open that pickle Jar they couldn't. For her it's "hey, my guy is pretty capable and handy, that's hot!" Also if she's trying to punish a kid you need to put your foot down and make that stick so the kid learns a lesson and shapes up behavior. And try to have a good attitude about it
*Wives:* if you need some help, just ask. Guys can't read your minds. There's no need to do _everything,_ all the time, until you've worked yourself half-to-death and can't even get a good nights sleep anymore. most guys I see are more than willing to hop up off the couch and get some jobs done and see it as a chance to "show off" a little for their gal. Guys have the organizational/multitasking skills of a goldfish. Men love a woman who knows where everything goes when unloading the dishes, each kid's favorite snacks to pack for lunch, and that the secret to getting Jim Jr. to stop crying is to rub his back and hum "smoke on the water." For him it's "hey my wife's got my life at home under wraps while things at work aren't going well. I think I'd rather spend more time on her and with her. And also take her out to a fancy dinner because she's still got a lot to teach me about making alfredo pasta. I forgot how hot she is. that other woman at work can't compare."
Help a spouse out; it's a hard world out there alone, but you're supposed to watch each other's backs! everyone else is against you half the time!
Also if your wife works part or full time, you need to remember it's a LOT harder for a woman in the workforce than a man and try to aid her with any take-home work she might have, or knock out any chores should you arrive home first so she comes home to a pristine household and doesn't have to stop to deal with that.
