Vc is so underrated and rare, I think with the overseas I like it better than Patek and AP, 3 different strap that amazing case back. The watch is clean, classy, robust it does it all
@@bobmemer9062 thanks! I was told that blue and black take 5 years to arrive once ordered, so I still decided to stick to my favourite silver. This could easily become my only watch with 2 straps and the bracelet.

I’m not a huge fan of the new Vacheron blue. But, it’s good to have choice in terms of the Overseas. Weirdly, I quite like the plain silver dial on this one.

Not correct, you could get one at retail around October last year and during 2021 they were 10/20% less than retail on the second hand market in the UK. I would think by the end of the year they will be back to last years price and availability as their second price has dropped massively, you can pick up the black around £22-25k at the moment. Beautiful watch but not one to invest in.
The VC Overseas is GREAT! My only issue with it is the price. At 25-30k, that is 3x a Rolex Sub or Batman. I love it, but it’s not 3x a Batman or Pepsi at list prices.
You'd have to go beyond Rolex in order to get one. You'd only get one, if you have gone through your watch collecting journey and have done your 'Rolexes'. It's like jumping from Rolex to Patek Philippe.

The reverse panda chrono Overseas is one of my grails. I just think it’s overpriced. If it was $17-20k I’d be totally happy on the price.
@@lewisjones3345 I guess in your case, given the calibre of watches you’ve already had, getting into an Overseas is just a matter of time. I’ve seen pre owned prices and they really dropped. Could be an opportunity

@@lewisjones3345 Fifty-Six are cool especially the calendar one, however I do think that it’s hard to beat an Overseas - you basically get three straps to wear with it. You can dress it up or down however you like.
While the movement is absolutely beautiful and Geveva hallmarked the rest is just decent and does not justify the asking price. Also these are dropping like stones on the secondary market.

I personally love them, they have a vintage charm and the size is just perfect. There are plenty of bargains out there.

The polished bezel makes the appearance look much cheaper. The previous generation with the titanium bezel is much better.

It’s definitely a great choice for your first watch. This can be your only watch, if you want to keep it simple. You get all straps you’ll ever need.

If you’re looking for pre owned, the prices are as low as they’ll ever be. If brand new then best of luck. They’re worth the chase!

I think for the brand’s prestige, the retail price is justified, same as for any Patek or AP. Pre owned watch market is always verified differently.
