I have to go back to this when I watch Dawson's Creek cuz I can't stand the replacement song. It just doesn't feel right hearing something else. Lol
That song actually works for the first two seasons when they were giving off the home video vibe for the intro, but I everything else I'd go with this.
Yeah, they couldn't get the rights the theme song when they made the DVDs starting with season 3. It kind of sucks, because the opening credits are permanently linked to "I don't wanna wait" in my head that I can't watch them on my season 3 DVDs!

Dawson always had that fucking smirk on his face. All the characters in this show just seemed so mannered... they didn’t reflect the teen experience at all.
this is the season the intro credits kinda bought into their hype - it looks like a clothing brand commercial. season 1 and 2 intros were better, especially season 1 with the whole "made by a young director camcorder" home video style

The first second of this is the 7th episode of Season 3, Escape From Witch Island. I had to pause the Netflix episode just to play this and then go back to the episode. They should have paid ANYTHING to buy the rights to this song for the DVDs/streaming services.
