My go to coat is a Uniqlo down that I can pack into a little pouch when I go from a cold climate to warm or vice verse! Affordable and great colors

Great travel outfit and tips Erin! On the return flight back however wear every piece of clothing that you cannot fit in your luggage Ha Ha!

Such good ideas Erin and I especially love a travel style video for fall and winter. I'll check to see if you have another seasonal travel video. I find it especially tricky to dress when you are flying into completely opposite weather conditions, like NYC to the Caribbean as an example. I would love a video on that!

I basically wear the same uniform for both, but modify the outerwear. For warm climate, I wear Moto or light blazer for cooler, wool or puffer coat. I also slightly modify footwear. I might wear a heavier boot for cold and lighter sneaker for warm. Make sense?

Slip-on Sketchers. You will thank me! Definitely wear biker shorts under your pants. Laguardia is cold and gross in winter (they should carpet-bomb it). Cabo is hot and humid. Drawstring cotton pants over loose fitting yoga/biker shorts. Add a chiffon button-down blouse over a tank top. Shuck the pants and blouse in the terminal. I'm 60 years old and no one bats an eyelash when I stip-tease in the immigration line. Hope this helps.

Yes, Erin, but do you just put the outerwear for your departure location in your carry on before boarding? And switching outerwear right then?

I discovered the Spanx jeanish leggings in September and they are awesome for travel. I had a busy travel month from mid-October to mid-November and went from DC to London, DC to San Diego and DC to LA and I wore those pants and several of these flights and they worked really well. Comfortable, no button to dig into my waist. I wore the black pair when flying with colleagues and they looked pretty polished with my merino sweater. You should check those out.

Busbee Style that’s right! I saw that video and forgot they were in there. They are so good for travel for people who want the feel of leggings and the look of jeans. I was sold when I wore them from LHR to IAD!

Hi Erin - great simple, yet chic, travel outfit. I also like jeans, especially if i want to show up put together. However, I am flying to India in the fall. I don’t want to swelter between the airport to the hotel. Thank you!

Even if precheck my zip boots tend to set off the alarm. I've switched to wedge sneakers. I just bought some Ug pull-on boots that I hope will work. We shall see.

Yes, I have the same problem. I wear these wedge sneakers almost every time I fly: rstyle.me/+CvkZE90AGf2j6QUXx5wkjg . They come in a ton of colors and patterns. xo

Thanks Erin! We will actually be driving out of state to see family for Thanksgiving & I think these tips work for long road trips as well. I often show up in a track suit feeling frumpy when I get to families house for the Hollidays. I think your outfit looks chic & also something I would be comfortable wearing on a long road trip. Enjoy your trip to New York! XO

Love this! We travel a lot. One thing I do is hang on to worn out, much loved clothing and take it on the trip. When I’m ready to leave, I throw out the items so my luggage is lighter. Or if I’ve been shopping on the trip, I have room to bring home my purchases.

My issue with traveling for work is two fold...I’m usually going right to a business meeting AND the climate change from FL to colder winter weather is tricky. However I almost always pack a comfy outfit to change into on the way home. Thanks Erin! ☺️

I leave a clean pair of sock in my "on board" travel bag which is a light weight nylon Tumi tote. 150% worth the investment!!! I highly recommend it. Need to try the Spanx jeans leggings and the Spanx pants you recommended. Travel clothes are my favorite videos bc I never know what to pack for cooler weather and look stylish-I live in Florida!!! xo

Wear your heaviest shoes and then change to a more comfortable pair that you have packed in a carry on. This way your suitcase, if you are checking it, will not weigh as much-more for space and weight for shopping!

My father lives in Brazil, so I travel a lot to see him. The uniform I developed is very simple but also comfortable (and hopefully, stylish): ballet flats , leggings , a trench coat. The top is the piece I have some fun with... Sometimes it’s a rock n roll big T, or a turtle neck, etc... Always in black because airplanes are dirty.

I not only wear socks to fly, but pack an extra pair in my extra item bag, and if they ask me to take off my shoes, I change the socks before putting my shoes back on. Call me a germofobe, 😂, but I cringe when I think about what’s on that airport floor where tens of thousands of folks go through!🤢👍🏻

I think this video pertains more to you and not to an audience.. Your video should have shown more options of different looks!! This is how YOU like to look when traveling, not everyone has the same as you..
