Was friends with his oldest daughter and used to frequent his house often. We got our Jack Russell puppy from him. The first time I saw his house I remember the grand piano and numerous drum sets and I was in awe. He even took me and his daughter backstage at phantom of the opera. Great experience. Great guy.
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, YOU WERE A MUCH BETTER LOOKING DUDE BACK IN THE SEVENTIES. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU ALL THOSE YEARS IN TORONTO? ANYWAY, ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU WERE A GREAT ENSEMBLE PLAYER, ESPECIALLY WITH BILL EVANS.
Nice interview. Just saw the Paris '62 concert; marvelous. Just played a jam session with your brother too, Mike! : )
Unsung Legend...

I loved Bill's trio when Marty was a part of it.
One of my favorite musicians.
Marty is a fkin king.
A great career!

I think just opposite.
A pathetic opening statement and question, relative to the respect in your last statement.
