2:37 this was hilarious. I remember trying many options until the body automatically gets the optimum position and you're like Ah now its possible! Anytime I see an upload from you I get reminded of your legendary GT TDI. I've dealt with bad mechanics which is basically 99% of them and I know how frustrating it is when they screw up. Despite the tdi and VW being a great brand, I would never get a VAG group car again unless it is made in Germany and maintained in Germany. Ridiculously over priced spares and the insane amount of tax on it, overcomplicated electronics, incompetent and cheating service centers whom you have to keep an eye on every time you visit is just too much for a regular person. Japanese car guys in India are lucky now that they can enjoy you DIYs. But keep uploading all the Polo content. It is still a life saver for a lot of us. I have done so many minor repairs and also service it myself. A big thanks to your tbhp content and youtube videos.
Hi AK, thank you so much for the long and touching message. I genuinely appreciate it. 🙂 I miss my Polo sorely. As they say, the first car, the first love, etc are truly special. I have never had a similar bond with my Jazz. A few friends also remarked it when they saw my Jazz parked in the open parking lot at my workplace. I do agree, the local technicians aren’t very adept at repairing these Germans properly like they do overseas. No wonder the Japanese SUVs are sought after in the Middle East. Thank you once again for the message. And thank you for being a loyal supporter of my channel.
Thanks Ganesh for posting this video. I have read your post on teambhp about the new BCM installation and adaption back when you posted it. Great of you to post this even though you don''t own a Polo anymore. But, I am surprised you have not mentioned anything about cabling to adapt the new BCM? I am asking this because I am trying to umderstand the process as I am contemplating upgrading the BCM (mine is GT TSI 2015MY with current BCM 087) and the different people whom I spoke to for procuring and installing BCM Max(090 series) are chanrging 15k just for the harness alone.
Hi Soorit, thanks for the feedback. Changing a BCM does not always entail a wiring harness change. I went from 085 to 087 without a harness change. The primary intention of changing the BCM in my case was installation of cruise control. That’s all. I wasn’t looking for additional features. Since you’re going from 087 to 090, you’ll have to insert additional cables in the A and B connectors as the BCM directly drives the headlights.
Hi Shanu, back then I sourced it from Russia since we did not have the 087 series in India. Now you can get them the cheapest from salvage yards where accident vehicles are being scrapped or through retrofitters who source it from abroad. Continental now manufactures these BCMs locally in India so it is a lot cheaper.
hello, quick question. as youre a very good and avid polo modder, have you ever figured out a way via vcds to disable the PRL/DRL on the post 2012 Polos? I HATE PRL, it caused my battery to go flat the other day while i was messing with vcds and the engine was off. Thank you for your hard work, my cruise control no longer works (E45 switch issue) so I will follow your retrofit guide to see if i can fix it myself (or maybe you have an idea?)
Hi, no clue because we don’t have PRLs or DRLs on the Indian make Polos. Some users have managed to get the outer bulb on the European Fog Lamp assy work as a DRL.
@@GaneshBalanhi sir, I gave new value to 0 and clicked test and then save. It successfully saved. And when I come back again and click on read it shows 1 in stored value. It should show 0 right? Where am I doing wrong, please guide!!
Hi Prabhakar, initially I had bought the counterfeit version from Aliexpress. The first one did not work, the second one did. You cannot buy from Aliexpress anymore to India and experiences are a mixed bag. The second option if you have the budget is to get the original version from Ross Tech (which I did later). It’s expensive and will set you back by 15-20K including customs duties. Or find someone who has a cable and they can do all the changes for you.
I have vento. I want to upgrade the infotainment system. Which is the best RCD 330, RCD 340, RCD 360 & RCD 340g plus? And where can I get this outside? Currently there are no stocks in the showrooms. Please suggest
Hi, RCD 330 has a smaller display. 340/360 have larger displays. Ask aftermarket audio accessory shops and VW dealerships if they have stock of the OEM unit which have been taken out of a Polo or Vento. Some owners upgrade to Android units with larger displays. You can get a good deal on it. Or get in touch with these retrofitters who deal with installation of VW retrofits. They can help you source one. Praveen can help you out. He’s based out of Bangalore - +91 81477 37557.
Hi, please go through the thread I’ve compiled: www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do-yourself/170101-vw-polo-diy-cruise-control.html It is the EXACT same procedure for the Vento TDI.
Hi Ajay, I suggest you contact my friend Praveen at 81477 37557. I don’t have my Polo with me right now so I won’t be able to help you much. Praveen is in an accomplished retrofitter and can help you out.

Hi, i have the PQ25 H+4, which bcm do i need to enable multi function steering wheel controls?
What is the complete part number of the BCM? What car?
Hi, i have the PQ25 H+4 6R0937087 and 2010 vw polo 6R SE, UK Model , which bcm do i need to enable multi function steering wheel controls?
Hi, your current model supports MFSW. Have you tested with a MFSW and the associated wiring?
Hi Ganesh sir, for BCM Max also pre steps would be same right? Saving long coding, can gateway list etc..
Hi Harish, that’s correct. The steps are the same. For BCM Max, I’m sure you’ll know additional wiring harnesses are required.

You can opt for OBDEleven which os directly imported for Europe around 5500 rs. You can do the similar work over there.
Genius
What would be the most basic/ obvious features which you can enable with this new BCM? Without spending more on new hardware/ parts
Hi Aditya, I am not aware of any features that can be added without hardware upgrades.
👍
Where do you buying that Seat covers?
