My hubby went to visit his brother who was deployed with the AF there in Oman. They went to visit the "Land Bountiful" and went to the beach... where they saw a boat being made on the beach!!! My hubby came home with a model of the wooden boats that they make there. Super cool!

Also in Mark 14:20, while Christ and His apostles were gathered, Jesus says that the one who dips into the bowl at the same time as He does, is the one who shall betray Him.

“To give the authors credit, they honestly cite the inscription word as Nihmite, without pretending it was ‘really’ Nahom. Yet despite this precise quotation, the story morphs and expands in popular retelling, until it becomes something like ‘The Book of Mormon describes a place in Arabia called Nahom. And now scientists have discovered inscriptions using the same name at that very place! Nehem is NOT a burial site, it's a vast mountain range. And the ruins referenced in the video are in a completely different location that is NOT in Nehem. Moreover the ruins themselves are not at a specific site, but scattered all over the place, thousands of such sites, all over the country. Going back to Nehem, it doesn't match with the text of the BOM, which describes them as following a path along the coast of the Red Sea. About 140 miles of impassable mountain range separates Nehem from the coast.

@@Hamann9631 I don't know if the story is true but the advice given to this girl was to tell her parents she "thought" she was being careful and "thought" she was doing the right thing by avoiding intercourse so it sounded legitimate to me. The Bible tells of what God does but doesn't always tell how God does it. It doesn't tell how God made the sun , moon and earth only that he did. It says God made Adam from the dust of the earth but never says how plants and animals were made. Did he form them from the dust of the earth? Maybe, but that would be an assumption. And what is meant by dust? Did God literally swipe some dust off a rock and form Adam or is dust a metaphor for tiny particles like atoms since ancient people had no concept of atoms? The Bible says Jesus Christ is begotten of the Father. What does begotten mean? It means fathered both in English and in the biblical text. Genesis has a long list of so-and-so begat so-and-so. Sperm is neither included or excluded in the text about Jesus's conception. You can assume sperm was not present because it is not mentioned, you can also presume sperm was present because that's what begotten means. We are all flawed human beings and are all guilty of assuming and presuming when the text is ambiguous.

Brad, I've got to correct something you said, or at least implied. Whether Abraham married Hagar by God's commandment or just by Sarah's suggestion because she didn't believe the messenger who said she wound bear a son in her advanced age, but she believed them enough that Abraham would be the father of nations. So she told Abraham to marry Hagar and he had a son by her. The suggestion came from Sarah, not from God. Don't quote me Section 132. Section 132 directly contradicts the Bible and the BoM on some critical points, so is a mistake. I don't want to get into a discussion about that just now. But to say that Katurah is proof that Abraham was a polygamist is not true. He married her after Sarah died. My wife died 8 years ago and i married my current wife 5 years ago. This does not a polygamist make. Neither does Katurah.

@@WARDRADIO I had watched the video in your link when it first came out and watched it again just now. It does nothing to counteract my statement that it (section 132) is a mistake. I don't know if it came from Joseph or later. That's not an issue with me. There are people like that bearded dude who are "hung up" on whether Joseph practiced polygamy or not. I'm not. My problem is with that section itself. I don't think it came from God. I'll try to explain.
If Joseph was a polygamist, and 132 was his creation, it was to justify his practice. If he wasn't a polygamist, then it came later to justify those who came after him. Joseph wasn't perfect, and could have gotten caught up in polygamy. I don't know. But in my mind, it doesn't negate the many other things he accomplished as the prophet of the restoration. But here's the problem i have with 132.
Let me start with an illustrative example. If the prophet or one of the apostles got up in conference and read what he said was a revelation and asked that it be sustained as a new section in the D&C that said this; king Noah was a righteous and benevolent ruler except he kept large cats on a chain and he should have been nicer to his kitty cats. For one thing, cats on a chain is based on a famous painting and not from the text, and for another everything we know about him from the scripture shows he was anything but righteous. Such a "revelation" would be extremely suspect.
This is the problem with 132. New on-going revelation, "further light and knowledge", is a mainstay of our faith. It adds to and clarifies. It shouldn't flat out contradict something that is plain and simple that needs no clarification. In my example, if the new revelation really was from God, He would know that the big cats on chains was only an artist's depiction and was not scriptural. Section 132:1, 37 lists Isaac and Moses among a group of biblical polygamists. Isaac definitely was not, and, though there's room for debate, Moses likely wasn't. If 132 was from God, and not from the mind of whatever man wrote it, He would know that and wouldn't have made that mistake. But, even more egregiously, Jacob 2:24 unambiguously says that the fact that David and Solomon had many wives and multiple concubines "... which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord". Yet, section 132:38-39 says exactly the opposite, that their many wives and concubines were given them by God, and David's sin was in having Uriah killed. Section 132 is not clarification of Jacob. It's in direct opposition to it. Either the Bible and Book of Mormon are correct, or section 132 is. They can't both be. Personally, I choose to be on the side of the Bible and BoM.
That's why I say, regardless of who wrote it, Section 132 is not of God and is therefore a mistake.

The terms Mormon, evidence and Archaeology should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Your ignorance about historic facts and your devotion to this fake religion is at best simply ridiculous. Having said that I must also say I have nothing against you personally and I hope you will eventually educate yourself and find the way to the truth, hopefully away from any religion.
