NO. Please NEVER use flour on a fire. Flour is highly flammable and can actually cause the fire to escalate. Scientific explanation: flour is a relatively fine powder and when aerated (like in the process of pouring it on to a fire) the oxygen that already exists in our air gets trapped between those flammable particles. Add that to the heat of the already burning fire, and you have the perfect recipe for an explosion.
