Yeah it was one of my very early projects. But I honestly didn't do much with EQ. BBC is only good for quiet parts. For loud parts it's not very good. . Thanx for your comment 👍
@@CatHarington the mockup sounds great , i just listened to the newer version and it sounds very good! The droid march is also very good, only thing i would improve is some EQ, better reverb, and the brass sometimes sounds a bit loose or to aggressive, i prefer a softer but strong tone if you know what i mean. But good work overall!
It has been incredible! Considering that John Williams' soundtracks are very complex and difficult to recreate. Sounds wonderful. I am studying musical composition and it is very complex. I would love to be able to study the song further. If you could share only the midi file I would be very grateful. Also very good work. Greetings!
How will the Midi File help you under the music more. Get the score - that is where the wisdom lies. MIDI is mostly note on - note off information. There are some great Reduction Scores on TH-cam - that give real understanding in how John Williams works.
I don't know if it makes much sense because all the key switches and the delays are made for specific libraries. It would sound just wrong to you, even if you had the right instruments. PS. I have a remake of it
Loads of free MIDI files and Scores on the net. Most Free MIDI Files are not perfect (none ever are) whilst these will give you something to work from the results are variable but the frustration can be huge. You will learn a huge amount more about composing by just reading the score - look at the dynamics - phrasing - voicing etc. If you are investing in Sample Libraries - I highly recommend taking a Score lead approach this will pay huge dividends in the end.
I'm impressed by the sound of the Horns. How did you make them sound that crispy ? I mean I have the BBC SO Core, and I don't really like the sound of the horns. They sound a bit muddy..
@@cyrilcalmes4208 I don't know if Cat Harington did it, but there's a trick for the horns to give them a more forte dynamic. It's by combining the muted with the normal patch and then you aply some eq to each patch. If you have Pro it is even easier as you can separate the channels for the mics so you have both articulations each one with it own eq in the same track. Here is the video where I learn it from: th-cam.com/video/9VYH3SEDI6U/w-d-xo.html
Love your string programming. That said, I think the BBC Orchestra really lacks expression and the brass is pretty horrible. But you absolutely made the most of it.
One of my favourite pieces of all time. Nice job. Just starting on this composition road alongside you. Have fun, and good luck with everything.
Great job !!!👍👍👍🙋♂️
Watch my remake of it 👍
what have you done to the brass? it sounds very boxy and like you have EQed the hell out of the trumpts

Great. You should label it #oneorchestra so it can be found of all the BBCSO fans.

Amazing work!!!! Share the midi file please!! I would love to use this to test out some new libraries of mine!

Thank you. You can watch my remake of it, it's even better. I used Cinematic Studio brass for the remake. It has more dynamic range.
@@CatHarington the idea was to use the BBC SO COre. I actually use my CineBrass library but I would like to improve my use of the BBC SO Core

@@batelgroun Thanks a lot !!!
Great job man ! I do believe it would require a bit more polish with the mix but other than that, it's a very nice mockup :)
Thanks, I agree, with every mock up I'm constantly learning. But I have a remake of this. Check it out in my channel

That's right. That's why I remade it with cinematic studio brass and strings. Check out my channel
