And I really love one of their earlier hits, "Serpentine Fire". Man, this is some of the many things that we danced our asses off to in high school. This would often be played in the same DJ set as "Jungle Boogie" and "Get Down On It" by Kool & the Gang, which I bet you would like if you are not already familiar.❤

They began back in the late 1960's, they took the 70's & the 80's by storm, have won several grammy awards, AMA, BET Awards, They have a STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, they are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they have several platinum albums, their live performances are just as good & sometimes better than their studio versions!!! They are still touring today in 2024 with at least 3 Original members still keeping their musical legacy alive!!! These guys are no joke, they are the "cream of the crop!!!" Cool. I bought the 7" 45 rpm single of "September" when it was new, helping to push it to the tops of the charts in 1979. The horn work on the song influenced dozens and dozens of pop hits in the eighties. The song grew in popularity in the decades after to become a wedding reception favorite, guaranteed to get the old folks out on the dance floor. Earth, Wind & Fire were highly popular in the seventies. Also check out "Shining Star", "Fantasy", "Reasons", "That's the Way of the World", "Sing a Song", "Got to Get You into My Life", and "Mighty Mighty".
