"Dejlig er jorden" ( How wonderfull the earth is) is a christmas hymn, a song of pilgrims, with danish lyrics from the poet B.S. Ingemann 1850, but the music is from Germany. DR (danish radio and tv- public service channel has an classical orchestra, several choirs and a concert hall. Every years their is a giant christmas concert with the orchestra and the choirs. A beautifull christmas tradition who is watched by many both in the concert hall or at home on the tv-screen.
As someone who has done such things before (though not in this professional of a setting), the young ones that do well at this sort of coordination really enjoy it, and the ones that would be all over the place tend to get bored and drop out. So they end up sorting themselves out pretty well.
I know this melody so well and we sing it so often, but here it is transformed - transfigured - in a stunning arrangement. Jeg kender denne melodi så godt, og vi synger den så tit, men her er den transforeret - forvandlet, måske - i et fantastisk arrangement

I am always surprised by how you folks can get younger children to coordinate this well every time. Very intelligent kids.
