@@jaydalton A new bike and so much crunching in it.. I'd punish your mechanic 😁Otherwise great to see you on the mountain bike again .. best content for me🖤
Camera angle looked good. The forks aligned along the bottom with plenty of trail and headroom. It avoids the dizzying affect of the camera pointed to far down, like so many people tend to do.
Love the channel Jay. The pov was good. It's as close to actually riding as it gets. I do really like the tripod shots too. It gives you another view of how big these jumps are, but I know you are a one man band, and appreciate how difficult it may be. Look forward to more.

Damn Jay!! I just stumbled across your video. Great riding. Then went to check out some of your other videos. WTF! I would have never in a million years guessed you’re a moto guy. Wow dude. You got chops. You rode kanuga better than most MTB guys I’ve seen there. More MTB vids please. I like your style. 🤘🏼. I’m a kanuga local (whatever that means) and would be stoked to get a few laps with you.
Thank you very much :) I've definitely been a moto guy lately but am actually a BMX guy, hahaha. Appreciate the kind words and I'll try to make it known next time I wander back that way. Need to experience this place on an e-bike sometime soon.

Stoked on your channel bud. Just a reminder, there's rocks everywhere and a reason most MTB'ers run knee pads all the time... not like sliding on smooth dirt or skatelite. cheers!
Glad to hear it :) And yeah I feel that, haha. Usually I'm a knee pad guy and thought I had them with me, but couldn't find them in the van. Have some more on the way
Thanks :) I haven't actually ridden an e-bike yet but am excited to try. It never really clicked before today just how many more laps you can get with the assist.
@@jaydalton Yes I get double the miles in a shorter time period. I don’t need to stop that often. Downhill riding is great, but I am sure with the tricks it would be much harder. Regular enduro bike was about 36lbs. My Santa Cruz Bullit is like 49lbs.
Great video Jay. You are so much faster on the new bike. It really shows on the video. So next this year's southeast day in the dirt in Dade City is 1 week before the NCTB Dade City Hair Scramble. You should add a camera on the back of your helmet just to see what it would look like. taking off over jumps and whips would be cool to see and the slide around berms and what not :) never seen a backwards cam haha
As myself who comes from a bmx background , I just got myself a full suspension. I just went to mountain creek bike park NJ from buffalo NY . Think I just gained a new hobby with the downhill stuff now haha . Love to see all the moto and bike videos from you !
Heck yeah happy to hear it! The big bikes are too good and I really wish I started sooner. I feel like there's just this weird stigma in BMX about the MTB that kind of always kept me away. Think that's slowly starting to change thankfully.
Heck yeah Jay, you look so much more comfortable on this than you did on the pink bike. Tell me, did someone set up the suspension for you, or did you learn to do it yourself? I've found that to be the hardest part of running air shocks, every ride I adjust a little and it never feels close to right. I think I'm gonna try different spacers on the rear shock to hopefully find a middle ground between painfully stiff and bottoming out on a bunny hop.
It's night and day, haha. This thing is like a space ship compared to the salmon machine (RIP). I set the pressures and sags close to what Fox recommends and then messed with the clickers a tiny bit after my first couple runs. I find your vids looking for more information about Jekyll. Can you give me advice about sizing? Im 180cm tall and I start learning how to jump but my back hurst on too long hardtail frame. Should I take size M ? Did you modify your Jekyll ?
Jay, I just recently dislocated my shoulder I just wanted to ask if you have had surgery or anything I remember you used to wear a brace and wanted to know why and what you did to heal up?
I dislocated my shoulder a few times and tore my labrum, but decided not to get surgery since it has mixed results. Was able to get back to normal by strengthening everything around the shoulder. Google has all the exercises you can ask for, but I started slow with stuff like 'wall walks' and then moved to exercise band stuff where you keep your elbows tucked. Gradual progression and consistency is the way :)
I like the chesty for mtb pov riding. It gets the viewer behind the bars better and shows bike manipulation. You miss out on the head turning see what I'm looking at but I think it is an acceptable trade.
I thought about trying to do the helmet along with the chesty so I can swap back and forth and not miss out on the head turning and stuff. Remy used to do it but I just don't think it's worth managing all of that footage. Might just be a full face guy and use my chin mount so the camera isn't so high up.
Loved the back flip Jay and some of that rocky terrain was definitely gnarly. Cannondale have definitely given you a well built machine from the looks and sounds of it. A good solid performer. Having e-bikes for tow vehicles certainly could helped. Great riding from all the boys.
