Never feel bad for finding the positive in something! I do this as my full-time job, and I love it! I excelled in corporate America. I excelled in upper management. I excelled in the sales world. Whatever avenue of work I have found myself, I excelled.... BUT I didn't enjoy any of it!!! This delivery gig work, I love and I don't care what anybody thinks about it! 😅❤
I'm not a gig driver, but as a disabled WM+ Spark customer, I noticed a recent update for me. There used to be 1 hour time slots for delivery, but now in my area (NE Ohio, Akron/Cleveland) it's 2 hour time slots (9-11a, 2-4p, etc). IDK how that would affect you Spark Drivers, but I thought you might like to know this.
That 2 hour window went into effect here in Central Indiana last week midweek. As a long time member I'm not crazy about it. I like to have all my orders delivered between 8-9am so I'm free the rest of the day but that will change now to 8-10am for the earliest delivers from the local store. They keep sending DM wanting me to sign up for that IN HOME deliver.
@riitaalin - I've gotten those messages too, but setting them just inside my door is absolutely fine. Enough where I can close & lock my door then I can take 1-2 bags on my lap (in wheelchair) to my kitchen works for me.
I watched someone's video where they did a shop for 2 customers. Walmart had them as A and B. She took a permanent marker when bagging up the items and wrote an A or B on the bags so she could keep them separate in her car for delivery.
Just got approved for spark the last couple days and did my first order earlier today. It was a 20 dollar shop and deliver for 6 items. Quick and easy. Love how they provide a map of the store inside the app.
I have completed multiple shopping orders, and it was very easy. 2 customers, separated by Customer A and B. I just grabbed a basket and put A in the basket and B in the cart. ❤
Base still starts at @11 same pay more work basically ihave only done one 2 shops as most of rhem sre trash they typically batch up low/no tippers together @babsblaney
Great energy. I love spark when it isn't glitchy and my order is already gone. Getting paid instantly is another bonus. Extra shopping and shopping at sams have me curious
Ive done 6 of the dual shops and you just shop for both and separate. No stickers nothing, just bag first one, and then it says scan the barcode. Its easy
I am a Spark Driver myself… I really do enjoy being my own boss and deliver to customers on my own time….However, I have been hearing through some Spark drivers and a Wal Mart associates that Wal Mart itself will eventually phase out Spark delivery and have only Wal Mart associates to do deliveries thru own Wal Mart vans. All this because of safety issues regarding some drivers not delivering to customer in timely matter or some customers don’t feel comfortable having regular drivers without any Identification entering their yards, not knowing it’s from Wal Mart… So much confusion with all this going on…..Well I told the curbside associate that well that’s not enough employees in curbside that ya’ll would have to hire more workers to deliver in their own Wal Mart vans. He said yeah Wal Mart would have too…..Even the CEO said he wants the employees to do deliveries fully at some point. I know all this talk is still in early stages…I sure hope Spark does not go away because there is good drivers that can shop and deliver to customer. I am here to make a living and to do honest work. Plus, I enjoy your videos and tips on to be a good driver and to pick best money offers for each drop off….. God bless…
I've seen walmart vans around for the shipping orders. If my refrigerated items end up not being cold, I'll use Kroger cuz they have refrigerator capabilities and way more slots for different time deliveries.
Walmart could never handle the amount of orders on a daily basis and the Walmart in home delivery is a separate service definitely not going to get rid of their own service remember Walmart owns spark
I have heard the same thing. I’ve also heard that from Publix associates when it comes to Instacart. That’s been about a year ago. Not saying it won’t happen but I don’t think it will happen soon.
@@menards23able plus, it don’t make sense because Wal Mart would have to hire more workers to do deliveries and what about the holidays coming up.. Curbside would really need help during Christmas season.
I don’t have anything too bad to say except that I’ve been seeing spark delete drivers left and right. That are good runners. Im afraid I’ll be one of them due to a screw up from a new guy doing my cart check. He said one item didn’t scan right. Instead of scanning it again he left it like that. And It would t let me continue but it asked me if I was going to pay for the item or give it to the associate. Well I didn’t have an extra item. I think it flagged me as trying ro take an item. Which I showed the associate I wasn’t. But I’ve had cart checks all day after that. I think it’s boys that decide to drop us. So it won’t matter if it was a new associates mistake, spark will see it as me. Have my fingers crossed. Needing this work and money. But I love your channel and energy. You keep me inspired.
Thank you for the information cause I have been doing Doordash and with the new tier system I went from being a top tier driver to having to start over again when I finally got my own car. Idk if it's because I couldn't drive for a little bit or if everyone had that happen. But it's frustrating when I have to rework so hard to get back to that spot again.
The "busy" time thing wasn't ever a reality. It said Walmart was busy on Christmas day when 0 were open. It's based on the fact the store is busy for online orders of any type and based on the whole zone not just that store. Gridwise told me that Dallas was better than my rural zone and I confirmed I make way more for less hours
I've done about 10 double shop orders so far. First time it was mildly confusing, but not too bad. One order is USUALLY small enough to fit everything in the top basket of the cart, but not always. There are no stickers. You need to separate everything yourself and make sure to drop off the correct order. Some drivers in my area hate the idea, but it really hasn't been that bad and I've been accepting them.
I had one of the shop orders for two customers. The app shows items with an "A" or "B" next to them. Its up to the driver to keep them apart. I started putting one in the child seat part of the cart and the other in the bottom of the cart. But soon there were too many items...so I grabbed a 2nd cart and looked like a dork running around with 2 carts of stuff LOL. When I got out to my car I just put one in the trunk and one in the back seat. No need to mark anything. I also noticed something lately - has this been a thing for a while? Some pickup orders have 40 stops but each one is 1 or 2 items and when they bring it out, each order is bagged & sealed in a mailing bag. Literally one was a small brown mailer with what felt like one small bottle of pills inside. And many of the drop-offs are within a mile or just a few blocks apart. I had one today that was 30-some drops, estimated time to complete 1.5 hours, and it paid around $40. Total miles were around 20 I think because many of them were just blocks apart. And after the last drop it left me just a couple miles from another Walmart store so I went there for my next order.
I'm worried I'm going to mix things up and deliver wrong. I was thinking of using post it's (1 post it) and placing them on the cart then the bag once in my car and separated. I haven't gotten multiple shops yet.
I already did a shop order for two it's not hard I think I've done two of them actually because the app divides it into a and b. Also they were small orders so not hard at all to divide it in the cart. Another thing as a single mom this has helped me so much in the summer to pay my bills
For the double shopping I carry a black maker and label the bags a or b, it helps to be organized. Shopping I put a shopping basket in the cart to separate A and B
We had a couple days last week where the drivers had to load their pick-up orders into their cars by themselves due to the store being super busy. It wasn't too bad actually😊
My walmart recently expanded its delivery area up to 20 miles. One problem I’ve had is a lot people who live 15+ miles away and don’t tip, but the base pay to drive that far is only $13.00. So that’s caused my acceptance rate to go way down, and my wait time for better offers to go up, but I still enjoy doing spark and can make decent money doing it.
Yeah Walmart in my area is supposed to be doing they're own deliveries in Jan next year. I wonder if this will eliminate Spark drivers or will it just be added help. Don't know, they are to shop, deliver and put away groceries. Per loaders I spoke to.
Ive had plus since early 2021 there has been many changes & of course the ever changing app for ordering. Just last week they have started the 2 hour window now for store deliver orders. Do drivers need to have special car insurance to do delivery for Walmart spark, food deliveries like GrubHub, DoorDash, etc., even compared to passenger delivery like Uber? Or is there a different insurance needed whether it’s food delivery compared to passenger there for you or is it all the same thing?
So, unlike commercial delivery with an 18 wheeler or larger van, if you were using your personal vehicle, you will only need full coverage car insurance. Regular car insurance will work just fine for almost any gig app.
I researched and found for spark you do. Spark doesn't say they need it but if you ask your insurance company what you need to be covered, they will tell you. And I think spark is different than like uber eats in terms of car insurance needs.
@@JackhammerPossessor you do not need commercial insurance to do gig work.
