Here’s something Tastosis didnt know at the time of making the video: The fact that Effort won vs JyJ is much more interesting if you’ve watched the group nominations, where JyJ used his first seed privilege to actually swap Mini out in order to bring Effort to group A!
I definitely prefer subs. If I wanted to see the games as soon as possible, I'd just watch them on another channel. I think the advantage these VODs have is not just the casting by Tastosis and being on the official channel, but being able to have higher production values with sub for all the segments that let us get to know the players a lot better. I loved watching the group selection with subs but it's not that enjoyable with dubs.

For me, at least, I would still prefer the subs even if it results in more of a delay. I used to love watching the group selection but I ended up just skipping this one. While it is necessary for Artosis and Tasteless to not watch the ASL live so they can cast as though it was real time, perhaps the translator could start with the real time video and start preparing the script before the VOD gets sent over to Tastosis, if that isn't what you are doing already. That could atleast slightly decrease the downtime. Either way, I would prefer the subs. Anyway, great work and It is great to hear that our feedback is being considered.
@1:03:58 JyJ double stimmed on accident and it lost the engage. He stimmed at 058 and 059 and it got two of his marines one shotted by the sunk when they otherwise wouldn’t have. That was insane. The second I heard the double stim I was like noooooo 🥴
it was sloppy very sloppy game by both players. Maybe fatigue or something but a lot of big mistakes from both side. If Calm had just gotten that defiler to the 12 base it would of been over. Instead he lost his last remaining army that he couldnt afford to lose and just fell apart. Insane how powerful defilers are because if you can get lurkers and defiliers to hold off certain choke point you can flip the entire game around.
@@shaggyfeng9110 that was my thought also but tbh I thought he was ahead after like 8 drone kills. I could see giving up right away if he just stuffed it outright
@@IanFanselow I don't even get why its a weird GG. I'm wondering here: why do pro's not put the Defiler back into the Overlord, after using Dark Swarm, to protect it from Irradiate? It seemed like a perfect opportunity to do so and make the drop even more annoying. Or even better, keep one Lurker inside the Overlord until after the Vessels leave and add it in. Do they even continue to get damage while inside the Overlord?
Generally speaking APM. Its generally better for a drop to be slightly less powerful so you can keep up with your macro and moving your army elsewhere. A funny thing is many players can control a small group of units, like a drop, better than many pros will during a game. The funniest bit is if you see a weaker player do that in an actual game, then glance at their resources. 80 HP on a defiler is also usually enough time to cast all of the spells that will be useful for a drop after being irradiated. Units afflicted with irradiate continue to take damage even if loaded. There's also that the overlord could get killed or you might want to retreat with those overlords to save the minerals and have more in position to drop later without needing additional actions.
@@SquallLionhart409 Exactly. Just like you have to allocate your gas to the most important units / tech, you have to allocate your APM to the most important task.
