Dear Bhanthe, thank you so much for explaining how restraining oneself from swatting mosquitoes works in developing the mind. The fact that this restraint would lead to not having that impulse in the end - I really needed to hear this as I live in Sri Lanka and I face a daily battle with mosquitoes and ants.
Dear Ajan, Could you please tell me in which books they talk about the 10 paramis? Their origin isn't clear to me... And it seems like not all bouddhist accept this teaching. Thank you
I heared a story from the monk and the prostitute but it say sutra...so i think it is from the mahayana tradition ...i believe they refer to scriptures that come not directly from the Buddha ...do you have any info on this ?
