So here's my interpretation...
This could be a literal interpretation of the lyrics, which depict an abusive relationship and having to keep love on a leash so you don't get hurt. I understand why that's resonating with a lot of people.
But as I am a trans person, I have to say... this seems like a really honest and upfront depiction of someone 'coming out'. It's scary. It's not all sunshine and rainbows once you put the clothes on that you've always wanted to, and it's not easy by any means to bring that up in a relationship.
They're spending time in the woods and on the beach alone, at odd times of day, neither one is smiling at first, but when they dance in the woods they smile and laugh together. It seems complicated, like a relationship between a trans and cis woman would be in the beginning. They both turn with a look of dread in that scene where the light beams up behind them, like an oncoming car. And the scene at the end where they're holding hands in the water was so foreboding and hurt in such a real way, it seemed like they liked each other a lot and were trying to hold on, but very much understood the futility of their relationship, given the circumstances.
With that in mind, I more thought of the lyrics, 'love is like a dog, you keep it on a leash so you don't get bitten' to mean simply that we don't always choose who we love, and sometimes we run into situations where we hurt ourselves or others by running into situations without thinking. Sometimes you have invested your heart in a futile situation or fall in love with someone only to realize they aren't quite who you imagined them to be.
This video could be interpreted literally or figuratively, I definitely see both sides of the situation. And perhaps it's both. Perhaps the trans woman is really trans, but is being shaped by her partner into a copy of herself, instead of being allowed to authentically discover feminine preferences and style.
I don't know 100% and I think that's intentional, and it's fine. I enjoyed it because depictions of trans people are so often either as saints or martyrs and we're just people. We take awkward first steps into the world, and it can be confusing and scary to be ourselves, and sometimes we end up in relationships that aren't outright abusive but prevent us from showing our true selves out of fear of being left behind. A lot of that resonated in this video for me.

I mean madclown and suran are fantastic and I'd really like to know the meaning behind the lyrics because the title itself is enough to be sending a message that he's about to go in on ugly sides of love. But this video... it's so sad.. yet could also be so real.. there is no place in a lot of societies for someone that identifies as a gender other than what they were born with. For someone in a similar situation. Please find help. Talk to somebody. If family won't understand you talk to someone in school. If they don't understand you, talk to a friend you trust. Even it's someone online. There are people that could support you. Suicide is not the answer. ='( Even if you don't find a supporter immediately, keep being you. You are beautiful no matter what anyone tells you and should live however YOU decide.

@@hopedean6424 people still watch stories and movies about murder and crimes. but they are under "action". this music video specifically isn't real, but people do get abused, like people get hurt and killed. what separates exsistance and reality to bring a story that everyone can understand and feel without real pain and suffering is essential. without this, we would have no understanding. no knowledge. so yes, i think it's beautiful. but abuse in reality isn't.
*EXPLANATION:* This MV is about a transwoman who's had her heart broken before when she came out to her previous partner, so she's trying to hold her new feelings in, and never fall love again. But she does end up falling in love again and at first it's going well(as we see in the first half of the MV), but the she's rejected again when she comes out as trans. Only this time the other person keeps toying with their emotions. Like the woman calling her up to meet one last time just to throw something at her in disgust and telling her to go. The ending scenes are her coming out to this woman and the happy moments we see of them after are just what the transwoman wishes the relationship to be, instead of how we actually know it all ends from the lyrics to the song.. Love is a Dog from Hell because it's hard being a transwoman on the dating scene.

For me, the meaning of the song is about an abusive relationship wherein the girl is the manipulative one.
The first verse talks about the girl acting like a villain when the guy pleads for her to stop. Then, the girl acts all sweet and so he forgives her (lyrics: you shoot at the back of my head then you give me a band aid... I believe you then I don't...). And then he feels that the girl is changing him but he still needs to trust the girl or believe in their relationship because it hurts less. Then when Suran starts singing (my breath starts quickening and it hurts), the girl pretends like she's done nothing wrong and ushers herself to continue (don't hesitate my two feet) and then she molds the guy into something beautiful, which can be taken as her ideal image for him. But she also can leave him, without really caring much. It's as if she's playing with him like how we used to play with our dolls, making them look as to how we ought them to be but when we get bored, we just leave them until we can find another thing.
Then I think the chorus talks about the girl. (Love is a dog, so you won't get bitten, tie it up over there) the girl controls the guy like a dog so that she wouldn't be hurt. And implies that he can hate her for that. But I think she doesn't really care.
Second verse is about the girl leaving the guy but she then gets drunk and tells him that she missed him. He had his hopes up and was clearly inlove with the girl that he willingly accepts her offer to see him one more time. Then, the girl gets moody again and decides to leave him while he jus sat there and blinded. (Nights I barely fell asleep because of anxious feelings, feelings that had to be pathetic because of love...) The guy clearly wants to be back with the girl but is still fully aware that he was decieved and lied but he still wanted to push through. And he cries, he can't get mad at her. He eventually went back with the girl.
At the ending scenes, it seems that the guy lets the girl continue abusing him. Abiding to what she likes him to be and doing what she wants. When they were headed to the sea, it might signify going to a dangerous path (their relationship) that would only drown them but he still willingly goes with her or he willingly stayed in their abusive relationship.

I think they didn't kill themselves. The sea represents their relationship, the happiness that they used to feel. That's why they seem so in love at the beggining, because she wasn't out as a trans girl yet. When she comes out, her girlfriend isn't sure about their relationship because she isn't bi or gay maybe?? But when she comes out of the car dressed "as a woman", her girlfriend realises that she loves her no matter what, so they go into the sea together, because they decided to fight for their love and keep being a couple

For me, this song is about trying to reconcile with the identity you used to inhabit before transitioning. It's about pursuing an unattainable goal and trying to push away your past for the sake of that goal - you want to be the ideal, beautiful woman that society wants you to be, but your biology is holding you back, and accepting and taking in the part of you that knows that is so difficult. You'll never be cis, and the part of you that wants to pretend you can be acts like all the things that make you you are inferior. But being able to appreciate that you're already enough, that you don't need to leash your past to love yourself, is so vital to a healthy transition.
