If u are looking for an overall package then mg hector is far superior.
However, if u r looking for drag race purposes then go for xuv700.

New hector looks weaker than previous one and MG needs much more to do on suspension part, only internet inside is not every thing.

Worst part is third row seats in 7 seater. Very low seated without thigh support. Very uncomfortable. Company should improve this.
All 7 seaters are for name sake. I really don't understand the logic behind the design. And if some one opt for captain seats, then god save them, its horrible for a family of 4+ and travelling outstation.. literally no space at the back .. keeping the luggage+ for the fifth person. Seriously, why anybody buy a 7 seater? Obviously it's for 5+ people.. but these cars r designed in such a way, it makes the life a hell sitting in third row...
