They slugged it out in their homestate for 4 years before getting signed to a label. They didn't get much recognition with Vessel. They got quite a bit yes but not as much as Vessel deserved, thats a great fucking album. So when Blurryface dropped and they finally got attention, it mattered. It took them 7 years to get the recognition they deserve, so yes, they deserved this award. But thats just my opinion.
