Yeah, Georg's blogposts are really not good for my mental health. :D
Feast is definitely my favorite book too for the same reasons. I just can't get enough of Jamie. His storyark is just terrific. That being said, the Cercei chapters are the best. That's exactly how you write a queen going mad.
I was really still hoping that Aemon would learn that Jon is also a Targaryen. He has always suffered from never being able to help his family and so he never found out that he did help his family in the end. :(

I never though of that!!! Poor Aemon :(

A Feast for Crows is my favorite and the Favorite of many others as well. It has the odd quality of getting better on reread as well.

Dorne and Samwell were the most boring chapters for me. I was pretty upset that the final chapter was not only a samwell chapter, it was a particularly BORING samwell chapter.

This is the greatest book of all time in my opinion, and I feel this even more adamantly after rereading the series. And I say this as someone who’s favorite character is Catelyn and third favorite is Daenerys. The main criticism of this book is that “nothing happens” and I couldn’t disagree more with an opinion. So much incredible character work is done in this book, Cersei is my second favorite character and if I get more of her in Winds I can see her becoming my favorite. Cersei VII is one of the greatest reading experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Brienne is a top 5 POV for me just from this one book. Even though they appear less in this book, Sansa and Arya chapters always have me hooked. Dorne and The Iron Islands give us amazing characters and move the story in interesting ways that we’re still waiting for the full implications of. Jaime just continues to be one of the most fascinating characters to follow because his “redemption” arc is one of the most nuanced I’ve ever seen. Sam’s chapters are full of so many different emotions and this book really makes me love his character. And how can I talk about this book and not being up The Broken Man Speech? One of the greatest monologues put to paper. And I’m the same book we get Euron’s Kingsmoot speech. This book is all about it’s characters, even more so than any other book in this series, and it’s done with so much care and purpose. I love this book so much lol, there’s too much to say.

Have you heard of the Ball of Beasts read thru? It combines Feast and Dance in order.

I have, the next time I read the series I’m going to read it in that order :)

Hahaha I really like your honesty and your sense of humor, also the mini updates on winds of winter are appreciated 😄. It's a shame what they did with Dorne in the Tv show, there is so much potential in the Dorne storyline... But oh well, we'll always have the books. If I'm not mistaken it was this book along with '' A Dance with Dragons '' that you could read at the same time, cause I think the story of this 2 books happens in the same space time, it's just different point of views. In my opinion '' A Dance with Dragons '' was pretty weak compared with the rest of the saga, I didn't enjoy it as much, I'll wait for your review on that🤠

A feast for crows is probably my favorite out of the five that are currently out. Which I know is not a popular opinion among the fandom but I couldnt put it down.
I loved Jaime and Brienne and Sam. Their stories were amazing, especially when Sam loses it and starts beating the crap out of the deserter, and his romance with poor Gilly.
Funny enough the character I hated reading was Cersei. She is a well written character and I found it incredibly satisfying to see her being manipulated but I just could not stand how narcissistic, hypocritical, and evil she is. It was just exhausting for me.
I also loved everything to do with the iron islands, D&D really did Euron dirty in the show. Who's your favorite Greyjoy?
To be honest personally I wasnt invested in Dorne, there were good chapters dedicated to it but overall I just felt myself wanting to return to the other characters. Darkstar is hilarious though.
    Also Ser Loras...what a chad.

100% agree, unpopularity opinion or not this book I binged in a few days compared to the other books that took me weeks to read. I was just so caught up in the story.
Sam beating the deserter was so satisfying! I also can’t wait to see him bring Gilly home :)
I agree Cersei is so narcissistic it can be exhausting… I just love a narcissistic character. I love seeing how their mind warps events to feed their own ego!
I knew Euron was done dirty by the show I just didn’t know how much they destroyed his character. He’s terrifying and brutal in the books compared to his cartoonish tv counterpart. I’m most interested in his story to see what his plan it. I’ve heard he wants to do some lovecraftian dark magic and I’m hear for it!! Though Asha is probably the only one I hope survives the series. I’ll never forgive Theon.
      Lol poor Loras

@@booksandtropes im really interested to see if youre view on Theon changes after reading his Dance chapters because they were my personal favorite. And if you want really good theory/lore videos on ASOIAF Alt Shift X is amazing. Especially the ones on Euron and Tyrion.
And the one moment I forgot about from Feast that I loved was when Kevan told Cersei, "And if Joffery is any example, you are as unfit a mother as you are a ruler." I literally spat my drink out when I read that. Such a great moment!

@@loki_l_1380 I’ll definitely check them out!
And YES! that was the best line in the book. My goodreads update literally says mic drop way to go kevan!
I can’t see me forgiving Theon. I’m sure I’ll like his chapters but what he did to the Starks… I don’t think I’ll ever like him again.

the reason which I didn't like it, because there was way too many cersei chapters because I wasn't interested to get into her mind, not to mention all the dorne and greyjoy's nonsense
it was a painful read for me, it was the shortest book in the series but it took me ages to finish, at one time I was really thinking of not finishing the series at all

@@booksandtropes really... I think Fire and Blood is pretty low on my list personally. But I really appreciate the way George wrote it. A history with contradictory accounts. That's why it's really frustrating that people complaining that House of the Dragon wasn't accurate when literally the book itself is inaccurate 😅
People don't make no sense 😅
