I did a hairdressing and beauty coarse, when you have warts working in the beauty industry you HAVE to have them plastered and covered up because they are HIGHLY contagious. she should not have been allowed to work without wearing her PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) xx
Exactly, thank you! Doesn't it go the same for customers? I recently went into a nail/hair salon and they had a sign up stating if you had any fungal disease or warts that they have the right to refuse service until the condition is cleared. I wondered if that was federally mandated for all salons or not?
+Michele Hatch it's true, if you have an infection around the area being treated for example your nails, they have the right to turn you away but they should advise you to see your doctor. however if it isn't near the place being treated then they should tell you to cover it with a plaster, this just prevents cross - contamination x

Actually most warts aren't contagious but I do agree they should be covered up because lots of people get grossed out by them. Although no reason to say it to their faces. I used to get bullied A TON when I was little,I used to have a couple warts on my hand and it took about a year to get them completely off. It was also VERY painful.

Channon, if you still have that on you're nails and toes you should get yourself to the doctor! I'm a nail technician! Actually, it's a part of the nail that was damaged due to the electric file and acrylic that they were using! Lot's of cheep nail salons don't use proper acrylic they use dental acrylic used for your teeth! It was banned in the 70's but shit salons still use it now! It can cause major damage to the nail bed and lift from you're nail! Fungus is usually green or blue! I suggest you go to a foot doctor, podiatrist. They will tell you exactly what it is. If it is a fungus you need to treat it or it will never go away and you should not be where I acrylics if you still have it! You should be letting your toenails get to medication.
Also, you're finger. You're nails don't breath! So, the infection needs to get treated and grow out. They sell over the counter drops for fungus at sally's beauty supply. Go pick up some and start putting them onto times a day. Underneath the nail and on your nail bed. Eventually it will go away. If it doesn't please go to the Podiatrist! I've had before I went to school to become a nail technician and got my license, third-degree burns from them proper acrylic!

I get that this video is supposed to be funny and light hearted but it honestly really hurt my feelings... I have a disease in my immune system and I get warts that I can't control at all. I was bullied in elementary school because of it and I couldn't even watch the whole video because I got upset. Especially the comments on this video. Maybe this woman didn't have something she couldn't control but I just wish people could be more sensitive to things like this... I get that some things are gross but be a little more compassionate.

+Malia Cline shake your head at me all you want. It's a disease I was born with, not contagious at all. It's the stigma attached to warts that really hurt me all those years growing up. I couldn't get them removed. Luckily I've been wart free for a while, but that's been after years of an eating disorder and self harm because of people's judgment and criticism.
Just a note, as someone who trained as a nail tech, people with warts on their hands are supposed to wear gloves in a nail salon, whether they're contagious or not. At least, that's the way it is here.
I honestly wouldn't have let her do my nails. It's hard not to be rude about it but omg there is no way I would have been able to sit through that lol. I can only imagine how fucking grossed out/stressed you were while sitting there 😂 people should have to take care of that shit before touching other people!

I got a wart from my cousin but he didn't have a black seed wart just a regular one but the one I caught off him was black seed and no one caught warts from me and my wart went away after a lot of doctor prescriptions so basically black seed warts aren't highly contagious
I'm a nurse and all warts are caused by a virus and are always contagious. They do not have black "seeds" those are roots. You can get warts by touching other warts with broken skin. The virus takes root in damaged or cracked skin.

I have a planters wart on my finger and I've tried to get it freezed off twice and it hurts so bad. I'm getting it freezed off again this week 😭
I have that too freezing it doesn't work for planters! You should use salicylic acid. It takes longer but it works better 😩
+sydney brown that's what I'm doing 😭 I'm getting medicated bandaids that have Salicylic acid in them.
+crybabytori I had one on my thumb for 2 years and tried almost everything to get it off. Finally I used apple cider vinegar on it and it took a few days but eventually I pulled that thing out and there was literally a hole where I could see my bone(because it was right on my knuckle)... Anyways I don't know if you've tried it but it worked for me, you just gotta be careful to only get the vinegar on top of the wart and not the surrounding skin.

A planters wart grows from the bone... You can't get it frozen off. It will just grow back because the root is connected to your bone. They have to be surgically removed.
