My cousin's Irish Showband outta Boston played various resorts in the Catskills since early 1970's . I got to hear many stories of the fun , friendships and joy that permeated throughout . I still promising to visit those places.
This very week CIAW is not live, (but virtual). Regardless, many folks are traveling to East Durham to play together and enjoy the craic this week! Show up at Shamrock House, Gavin's, McKenna's, the Blackthorne, and you will be glad you made it. Also, Furlong's was sold, bought and rehabbed, I understand . -- new name? BTW, I am NOT recording.
