    As much as rabbits are hated and maligned in Australia and understandably so they are actually a saving grace to many of Australia's large monitors and snakes replacing or supplementing the marsupials they once preyed on which are now either scarce or extinct thanks to feral cats and foxes!

      My family used to have one of the rarest animal friends and at least their interaction was truly remarkable!And that was a Siberian tiger Neron that lived in the same house with grandad and his wife and just 3 year older than Neron,their daughter-my mother!By the way also he was obviously friendly towards humans especially his family and especially grandad to whom he was entirely devoted to the very last bit,but the same time this didn't mean that he was peaceful and soft big cat:his only other animals that he was friendly with were females,which he was regularly taken to the zoo where he was once born to date those and in this way to get good for both zoo authorities and to grandad because when Neron matured the long time without a female made him actually the same as happens with house cat males that are not neutered,yet the only difference was that Neron at full volume of his roar(the fast but the loudest sound that any feline can produce-similar to caugh!)-he was actually twice causing people's ears bleeding and once there was a story with neighbour's dog,which ended up with neighbour being warned that if the next day early in the morning once again his bitch will start the same crap the next morning-Neron will take care of this crap himself-very fast and forever-so the next morning as they all woke up the same way-grandad simply went outside with Neron and told him:"you can do that!"-and so not only the dog shut up forever in less than 5 seconds after those words but Neron's roar right before crushing it's scull damaged glass in window in front of the doghouse!So quite a bad thing if he would have been calling for female outside😁
      Anyway all the others were either his meal which I mean were regularly becoming his meal as he hunted local wildlife in nearby forests(yes,grandad obviously taught him to hunt for prey and did that even better than a tigress would have done because he added many of advanced tips and tricks for his attempts to be more successful:for example,he made twice a neat killing spree on packs of wolves that didn't get the point when he roared at them so they lost about 5 members on spot at less than 10 seconds and 3 more were chased down and killed upon fleeing!By the way unlike lynx and bobcat that he deemed to be something that he must kill but not eat-with wolves that was otherwise)-so was how their relationship looked like!And I will anyway get myself a Siberian tiger cub and raise him or her as a family member and hunting comrade as well as grandad once did!
      Anyway no matter where you live but even if you can't keep exotics-there is still a solution!Because currently in no single country where people are prohibited from keeping the strongest and biggest of feline family:those cats are not classified as neither of prohibited groups of animals because they don't exist and never existed in the wild and the first one of them was born in the end of 19th century!And I am about ligers!And more than that:not only it's legal to own anywhere on earth but also they are the easiest to keep without any issues because although they are most powerful of all feline species and can kill any of the animals that exist and do that alone-but the same time if you keep one of them since a cub-you are totally safe in presence of this Goliath that overpowers and outweighs any of lions and tigers ever existed!Because the same time they are not only biggest and strongest-they are also nearly lacking aggression and are completely friendly towards anyone who they live with as cubs!And if you also train that Goliath to hunt for prey-there will be no any such a big game that will not be killed by him:polar bears will be actually hard thing but that is because ligers also lack fur(not completely but still they never get as much fur as Siberians-not more than a quarter of that,even if born from barbary lion and Siberian tigress) and in polar bear habitat will freeze to death in about 20 minutes!

    OMG! What luck, to have this all happen in your backyard! I'd give anything for that type of an encounter with nature.

    I'm sure rabbits are one animal people in Australia would be glad to see extinct.

      @gaetanoiuculano7895 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      True in theory but in practice the are better of staying now as they have now become an impotent food source for large Australian reptiles such as large monitors and snakes, replacing the marsupials they once preyed on which are now extinct or much less abundant in most areas.
