I disagree with Day'n'nite. I listened to the crookers version first when I was a kid but pefer the solo one since it sounds more low-key in which really added more to the track since it was about a lonely man. The crookers version doesn't really add anything.
The crookers version is just a standard EDM remix track of a song that doesn’t fit that dance-anthem style. It literally is a complete mismatch idk how anyone couldn’t like the original much more

i think a lot of the hate is because ots a trend same as hating on polo g, and because hes more of a popstar in the rap community than an actual rapper, and the label tried to use juice's death to bring attention to laroi by releasing reminds me of you on his anniversary (rip)

As many have said though, the song is about a lonely man who smokes weed every night to cope with his depression (something I have a lot of experience with), so the low key solo presentation fits the lyrics better for most of us.
