For Jungfraujoch, if you plan to go out in snow, good grip shoes are recommended because it becomes slippery. But keep in mind, snow shoes are not allowed in Ice Palace
Does the swiss half fare card provides discounts on cable cars We will be travelling in the mid of oct so wanted to know which pass would give us more benefits?@@wander.ingsouls
Hey yes the Swiss Half Fare card has discount on almost all transports and attractions. The best pass for you will depend on lot of factors but if you are travelling for 5 or less days then usually half fare card is most cost efficient! Hope this helps ✨
One has to shell out 85 Chf to get a half fare price pass which will be costly when compared to a 4 day Swiss pass for foreign tourists. This pass will allow you unlimited journey in Switzerland in trams/buses/train/boats & 50 percent discount in ropeways & spl.train ( Zermatt).Public transport of Switzerland is top in the world that cab is not needed at all.Super costly country for Indians since one Indian food thali will cost 30 to 40 Chf.
4 days Swiss Pass is for 295CHF which definitely includes unlimited journeys on trams/buses/trains/boats but it doesn't give you 50% discount on all the ropeways and special trains. For example, Jungfraujoch is 111.90CHF with HFC and 147.80CHF with Swiss Pass. Another thing is, in many cities in Switzerland, if you book a stay you are provided with travel card which gives you unlimited journeys on trams/buses. So, as we already mentioned in the video, Swiss Pass is better or Half Fare Card really depends on a lot of factors like how many days you will be there, which places you plan to visit and how much flexibility you want. But for budget travel and for less than 5 days, most of the time, Half Fare Card turns out to be cost effective. And, Switzerland is definitely one of the most expensive countries but we managed to cover it on budget so sharing our tips and tricks here! 🙂
