I like the new ones. Warm, cosy and nice sounds. They look good too imo.

@@flyhigh6088 AS Ühinenud Depood built these retro trams for the Kadriorg route on the basis of the KT-4. The first retro tram, which was put into service in October 2017, was named after President Konstantin Päts. The following five, in turn, were named after Johann Laidoner, Julius Kuperjanov, Jaan Poska, Jüri Vilms, and Ernst Jaakson.

These CAF Urbos trams are a disaster. They all have a serial error where their connections from the bogies are cracking and they have cracking of screws connecting the cars, there were a lot of complaints about that... The Czech Tatras have been rolling for 60 years on the worst tracks on the planet and still work like a dream...

Most of the Tatra trams in Tallinn were built in the 1970s for various German cities, but have been in Tallinn from 1981 onward. Some were bought from those cities as late as 2013. So they're about the same age as the oldest trams in Helsinki. Some people have complained that CAF trams are loud, but to be fair Tatra trams are way louder inside, especially in curves. I much prefer the humming of CAF trams. I've rode CAF trams in Stockholm too and these were about the same loud as the ones in Tallinn, so nothing out of the ordinary really. By the way, all Tatra trams (except for the low-floor renovated ones, and the 'retro/blue' ones) are going to be replaced in 2024/25 with new trams.
