Did Killers of the Flower Moon NEED to be that long?

Martin Scorsese is back at it again with another ridiculously long but thrilling story. Once again partnering up with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. No doubting how great of a story this would be but... did it really need to be this long? Is this better in cinema or back at home on Apple TV? Lets dive in to this.
When oil is discovered in 1920s Oklahoma under Osage Nation land, the Osage people are murdered one by one - until the FBI steps in to unravel the mystery.
