@@Captndarty sorry….totally disagree - have you actually watched her many long journeys on different continents? Frequently several hundred kilometres in one day!
The best thing about travelling alone is that people tend to be less afraid to approach you for a chat. You can easily get people into a conversation by simply asking them if they know about some local secret places that they'd be willing to share with you and then simply carry on from there. I totally agree that meeting people and hearing their stories is simply a cherry on top of all the other adventures during your tour. Just a thought I wanted to share with you! Must add: Loved the shot you did when arriving at Mayson lake, thumbs up for that!
Excellent presentation. Since you asked for comments, I'll feel free to offer some. I think it is wonderful to involve people you interact with along the way. As a BC resident, I can say you have done a fantastic job of showing off the scenery and the people. I love the Cariboo, and I will be doing a trip through there in a couple of months.
Great addition on adding the people you meet…yes it’s difficult because some don’t want to be on camera. - but those that will…it pretty cool for their stories….keep them coming!!!
I always learn something when viewing your videos. In my very limited motorcycle adventures, I always find that it's more than just the gear, the scenery, or the roads, it's all about the people you meet along the way. Thanks for bringing your adventures to us.
Fantastic man. I'd say it means the world to those folks trying to make it way up north that you're sharing their places to our community. Hard work and determination has been proven to propel us forward!! These are getting better and better man!!! Thanks so much for bringing us along. I’ve really enjoyed this series. It’s easy to underestimate the effort involved, but it’s an inspiration and actually, a little escapism for me, living in the over crowded uk. I still enjoy riding, for the most part after 40 years, but I’m always chasing that riding dream which I’m never going to find here…. at least not on this scale. This is the next best thing. It reinforces a sense of adventure that we should never lose, in whatever way. Good work 🙂✌️
Absolutely, a huge amount of work. I understand the escapism part as I dream of that too even though I live on Vancouver Island for 25yrs now. It attracts many to the island. It’s so close to me yet so far - I don’t seem to have the time to enjoy longer motorbike trips. Sterling’s work is golden and cures some of that need. I just recently found his channel and it’s a gem! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
These episodes just get better and better. Your drone filming is incredible...that shot over the Fraser River and the bridge...wow! The riding, the nature, and the people you meet, this is wonderful. Really appreciate your humble and relaxed manner. It seems like every episode gives me more and more to think about. I have a 4-month ride coming up in South America and I'm gleaning everything I can from your experience.
I think I'm addicted to the channel Sterling! This is great!! Involve the folks along the way as much as you can. The places are great. The people there make them even more special. Great work!!
I’m enjoying photography and watching other people sharing their experiences. Creating content is a challenge. You have tapped into a gold mine. How people make a living. Keep up the good work.
This series is inspiring me to modify my journeys. First, slow down and observe more. Second, stop and check out more more places such as Pete's House. The bike wants to keep rolling, I must impart my influence on it. Thanks Sterling! 🙂🤙
Over trying to find a campsite & picking up food & cooking it etc etc etc blah blah blah After dozens of rides/trips/journeys - In the end I enjoy riding 2 hours more - Grab a room & take-out & a cold one. Repeat.... Puts a bigger smile on my face - in the end ETTO... & I hardly take any photos either to boot!!!
Sterling I have watched most of your videos over the last few years and like others have said they keep getting better. I like the idea of more people content. Everybody has a story whether they know it or not. They may not think they are interest but I know I always find it interest why people do what they do. 60 years ago in grade school one of the things that has stuck with me for writing a story is the 5 W's (Who, What, Where, When & Why). Also you show us a lot about your trips and your documentation thru video, but I think it would be interesting to know about you and how and why you plan your adventures. Great stuff keep it up. Thanks
Thank you Sterling I’ve enjoyed the ride along even though I’ve travelled most BC roads possible by car for many years gone by. It was a joy to revisit them on your adventure. If I didn’t suddenly become 82 years old I would be tempted to try it again on a motorcycle exactly as you’ve done. Happy trails 🇨🇦
Really enjoying this series of films documenting your travels. I agree that including interactions with people you meet along the way adds an extra dimension and interest for the viewers. 👍
Sterling, very good idea to add interviews with locals as it allows us to learn more and drive us to include these places in our own trips Keep up the great work! Thanks again for all you do for the ADV community.
One of your best videos Sterling. No matter where you go, beautiful country is before you. What makes it special and unforgettable is the people you meet along the way. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Safe travels to you.
I truly enjoyed this change-up. It continues to make me think how I approach my rides and my interactions and break out of my bubble. Truly envious of this night's stay and the solitude you got there. What a way to end a carefree day.
Sterling, first of all love your adventures and have seen most over the years. I look forward to the idea of incorporating human contact into your stories. I also watch most of Charly Sinewan's adventures and like his style of connecting "kind of in the face style" with people he meets along the way. It comes across very real and from the heart when his subjects talk. Also, I encourage your honesty in showing us when you have rough day. Thanks for being real and yourself in those moments. Keep on going!👍👍
For whatever reason, I enjoyed this episode the most so far. People’s stories are a fascinating mine of information and as it relates to motorcycle film making has pluses and minuses. A plus is that a solo motorcyclist is approachable and people generally are interested in you! A minus is it will require more dedicated stationary time-not moving on down the hiway. I’m in for it if you are!
Half of the reason I travel is to meet new kinds of people I would otherwise never interact with. It's great to see it in your videos. You did that an awful lot in your old movie in Mexico.
Looking forward to seeing more of the people on your trip Little Gems make a great adventure We sometimes take things for granted in our daily life, but meeting others who don't have or want much really is a leveler Great video again Keep them coming
My husband and I have been following your videos for a couple of years now. I love your cinematography and perspective but I think this video is one of my favorites. You interviewed a local and brought in her perspective to bring attention to the area and people. I feel that’s similar to the BDR videos and I highly encourage more of this type of interaction in your content. Thank you for a great video!
Yes would love more stories about people and what they do. We love traveling around on our bikes and finding new hidden gems and talking to all kinds of people. Especially when we ride our mini bikes. Everyone is always interested in them and where we have come from and where we are going on them.
I agree with the majority on introducing/integrating people on your journeys. Just be careful not to overdo it. You meet so many people it make your videos little Bios and run too long to watch comfortably. Keep videos primarily 25 minutes and I think we would all enjoy meeting one or two people living life rural and surviving with some in depth knowledge. Thank you Willie D
Yes, the locals add flavor and knowledge about the area that you hear about but we do not. Put them on camera but get your waivers signed. Loved this episode.
The interviews with people along the way are great. I'm from the northeast and British Columbia is a long way off, but your videos offer a great window into that region. I very much enjoyed the NEBDR film you shot and hope you come back to the Northeast again some day!😊
That was a fantastic and awesome experience. Just being riding Solo in peace, tranquility, and the rich smell of the forest. Keep on riding my friend. This is an inspiration to me. Thanks 👍

You dropped the bike ? Thanks so much for showing the reality of solo riding. The other day, I pulled up in a Car Park next to a rather “stunning” young female Police Officer (just off-duty) riding a new Africa Twin, we chatted about bikes for a while, her new Twin and my 2 year old Himalayan, when leaning back a bit, my bike just fell over (foot just slipped sideways). We had a laugh as she helped me pick it up but it was so embarrassing - but yes, it can easily happen to all of us. Enjoying you travels so much and the interaction with locals is so interesting. Safe travels 😃👍🇦🇺
Yes agree about the added local people interacting, you only have to see how Itchy manages, mind you she uses the locals to help her get by, you seem to be more self sufficient. The locals will have tons of tales of their home areas probably only too pleased to tell you about them.😊😊😊
Wonderful video Sterling. Love the interactions with the local folks and business owners. Speaking of local "gems", your motel certainly is a gem. We absolutely love riding down to Bisbee and staying at the Jonquil! What are your and Eva's favorite eateries in Bisbee?
What a great episode, especially since it briefly featured my city of Williams Lake! I've lived here for 22 years. As you said, it's not a large city but it has everything we need. I love the friendly people and the amazing scenery and abundance of places to ride so close to home. I'm blessed to live in the Cariboo. The rest stop at @7:15 is one of my favorite viewpoints. Sorry about the tipover. :( I've driven/riden past Pete's quite a few times, now I guess I'll have to stop. Thank you for doing such an amazing job of showcasing our beautiful little corner of the world!

Hi Sterling, I look forward every time with interest to a new episode of your amazing journey. What you are now doing new with talking to people you meet along the way I think is a very nice addition to the already special way you make your videos. So by all means keep doing that. I will keep following you!
This trip just gets more beautiful each episode. Your cinematography is amazing and, if I didn’t know that you were alone, I would guess you had a whole film crew following you. Then to edit the shots, add music and voiceover, I am impressed. The idea of incorporating local people’s personal stories adds interest. An occasional overview of a map would be useful too. Finally, you are such a humble guy, it’s refreshing to see and hear way less ego. Ride safe 😎
Sterling, thanks for bringing us along on this trip. I can’t imagine the time and effort it takes to get all these shots by yourself. You make it look so easy.
I think it would be very interesting to hear about the local people in the areas you travel through. It would be a nice addition to your solo world while on the road.
I welcome all the aspects of adventure travel. The riding, the food, the people and the places that you stay. So many restaurants and motels rely on moto travelers. And it’s an added bonus when they can reach so many more people through a channel like yours. It’s like a docutisement that really helps them and people get to know them. Keep up the excellent work Sterling and ride safe my friend!.
Do, share more people stories. It will enrich your trip and our interest level. Love your work. Oh I was going to tell you, I met Eva at the MOA rally in Springfield. Ride free bro
Really enjoying all your video's. I like how you take things in stride and make the best of each day. Looking forward to your next video and some of the interesting folks you meet along the way. Stay safe!
Yes I enjoyed this one, great episode! Really like clips where you chat with locals, it adds another dimension that completes the vicarious nature of your brilliant films.
I'm always glad that I save these videos to watch on the big tv at home instead of the phone. so much would be missed on the little screen. I'm going to be lost when this series is over. I'll have to dig into some old videos i guess.
I think adding "nostalgic vignettes" of locals you meet on your journies would be extremely interesting. If you remember, Charles Kuralt's series was a huge success. Interviewing local business people may give them exposure they wouldn't otherwise be given.
I think packing is always a challenge and for me an ever evolving process of trial and error as it changes with each trip, where I’m going and for how long. Another great video👍
Love the idea to add locals to your videos to promote local business and introduce people you encounter during your trip. I would also like to see your continued journeys on a map.
Another great video Sterling - well done. Particularly love the composition of 17:39 through 18:20 - beautiful work. I agree that adding in the local interviews/conversations would be great. Really helps ‘humanize’ the adventure and remind us to make a connection, where ever our travels take us. Thank you again.
When we have visited the States from the U.K. the highlight always is meeting and talking to local people. Finding out about their experiences and viewpoints, makes the trip, so would like this included in your vids please
Another great episode. Yes, bring the folks that you meet out there into the story.... One of the main reasons to travel. Really enjoying how this series has evolved. Thanks Sterling
Always a pleasure…hope to see you when it gets cold here and we head to Southern AZ. Some riders are staying in the B&B next door from the east coast say they watch your channel regularly…small world. Hi to Eva.
Love the idea of telling stories of people you run into on your travels and promoting small businesses. Great idea. Sorry about your pannier. Maybe time to go with soft ones?
I have always wanted that from your films. I think it can only make very enjoyable films better. I love finding out about people and their lives. Good call.
I agree with your idea to share the community that your in. If they are willing to share there lives. It just shows that we are all wanting to live free, support there families. Good for you. An looking forward to your exploration. 😊 🤠. Can I ask what kind of ear protection you use? Your recommendation means alot.😊
I like the amount you put in on your stops. In my opinion doing a deeper dive of places to stay/eat should be on a different TH-cam channel. Then reference the other channel & video. This would be high value research for those planning a trip and wanted to learn more about places to stop. Like a video Yelp!

Great idea, bring more nice people like those to the videos , thanks. Gus
Your film making is getting better and better 👍👍
I think adding "nostalgic vignettes" of locals you meet on your journies would be extremely interesting. If you remember, Charles Kuralt's series was a huge success. Interviewing local business people may give them exposure they wouldn't otherwise be given.
Actually, I’ve always been a fan of Charles!
I think packing is always a challenge and for me an ever evolving process of trial and error as it changes with each trip, where I’m going and for how long. Another great video👍
Hey Sterling
Adding folks you meet along the way would be great.
Great video, ride safe😊
Yes, yes yes on talking to local people. It’s very interesting.
Meeting the people you meet on the road is the best work you’ve done. Next level stuff for sure. 👍
Love the idea to add locals to your videos to promote local business and introduce people you encounter during your trip. I would also like to see your continued journeys on a map.
I have lots of maps in the website!
Very touching episode. You're so right to go in this direction of adding people's testomonials about their living
We are all a “work in progress”. Keep up the good work.
Great idea to share the story of people along the way.
Good call.
So glad to see you you found your MoJo again! Really enjoyed the vibe on this one.
Been great series sterling👍🏻 glad you enjoyed some of British Columbia too. As I love Arizona in the winter 🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦
Another great video. I’m glad you weren’t caught in between the bike and concrete barrier.
Yes it’s the amazing people we meet on the roads / please share
I agree with your idea to share the community that your in. If they are willing to share there lives. It just shows that we are all wanting to live free, support there families. Good for you. An looking forward to your exploration. 😊
Looks like a lot of fun. Never enough time to explore everything
