I'm thinking of checking out this game, but from what I can gather it's very fast paced and oriented around rush down. In other words, it is simply too fast for phils puny brain to comprehend
The fact that he considers using heavy characters as skill-based gameplay is laughable. Any idiot can use slow, high-damage, no effort characters, rely on the Soul Stone Storm every battle and consider themselves good. I'd love to see Phil use Strider, Chun or any of the speed characters and see how difficult, but satisfying, it is to win with them.
Yeah it's funny that he's constantly like "uhuhuhu just spam the same combo over and over you scrub" but literally 90% of his wins are from doing that one Thanos combo which air-juggles and does like half of the opponent's life bar when his opponent's combo is like 50 hits and does 1/4 of his health haha

Plot twist : Dsp said he "didn't do it" every time he fucks up an input because he actually is not the one playing, an alien came into his house and play the game instead, but is mind-controlling phil because the alien sucks at the game and figured the only human who could believe (even when mind-controlled) that he himself is so shitty is DSP.

Phil is the one that keeps opening himself up to all this nonsense, and tries to pass it off that, A) He didn't get the move he wanted, which means he's mashing buttons, and B) His opponent is mashing, and that's why he's losing so badly. which must also mean that they aren't getting the moves that they wanted, despite getting some pretty chunky combos on Phil.

Typically in games there is a natural delay playing online due to latency. It's usually about 100ms or less if your on a good connection. It's barely noticeable. But to phil being as dumb as he is for him the delay is almost like 1000ms
He also thinks literally every player other than him has devised methods to take advantage of the lag to do whatever they want.. That's his "online bullshit" that "wouldn't work offline!"
Can you imagine any of these games being played in person and what he would or wouldn't be saying? He would he quiet as a mouse not saying shit.
