As I was growing up in TIPA in the 70, my elders used to tell me that Thupten Samdup la was a child prodigy. My respect for him is not with his singing alone but he and his wife, Carol Samdup-la's life long dedication to our culture and cause. They have started the Canada Tibet Committee, which still is very active and Thupten la was the Representative of HH the Dalai Lama in UK in 2010. Thank you and THUK JE CHE! Techung
I don't understand Tibetan Language, but I love 💕 Tibetan people, music, food and dresses. When Raju Lama sing this I started listening this song . But now I knew originalsinger was Mr. SAMDUP . One day I will try to play this song on my flute 🪈 love and respect 🙏 from Nepal 🇳🇵 now America 🇺🇸

Other Tibetan singers shld learn a courtesy lesson from Raju lama. Hats off to Raju for atleast calling Genla and asking his permission to make a renditions to his song. 👍🏼👌🏼🙏🏻
Thupten Samdup la song is a classic. All the new generation Tibetan singers who sing his song on their Cover album should at least seek permission from Thumpten la out of respect, otherwise, it is plagiarism without the consent of the original content creator. This is plaguing our new budding music industry if newer generation singers don't care and respect in the future others will not respect you.
Uff. I have been thinking this song was composed by Yadong. It is good that Samdup la has revealed the truth. I urge those who claim to be singers should give credit to the original composers of the songs. Or else it's a crime.
No one sang it better than Yardong, arguably the greatest singer in the annals of Tibetan music and this guy could not summon up the courage to appreciate that his song was sung by Yardong is pathetic.
Don Garuda, I agree Yadong is probably one of the best contemporary Tibetan singers, whom I had a dinner with. Now regarding this song, Thupten Samdup la correctly mentioned the lyrics was originally written by the greatest and loved Tibetan poet, the 6th Dalai Lama. He had also mentioned, the tune was inspired by Norbu Tsering la so it’s correct to say Thupten Samdup la was the music composer or producer with the use of guitar. As he said that he composed it in late 1960s which was remarkable. So don’t know why you seem upset at him as he was the first modern singer of this amazing song. I think Yadong sang it 30 years later in late 1990s. So that was Yadong’s rendition and don’t know if he had heard of Thupten Samdup la’s song when he was composing his. Yadong also sang many of 6th Dalai Lama songs and I fact he gave me early draft of 6th Dalai Lama written ‘Makyi Ama’ song which you will find it online.
@@uguensonam1459 Yes Yardong should take the whole credit for making this song one of the greatest tibetan romantic songs in contemporary tibetan music world. And if this guy's, Mr unknown, claim is true then he should definitely thank Yardong for making his song so popular among Tibetan music lovers. Btw seems like you have been to Mars before NASA did😄😄😄😄😄
