The real Atilogwu dancers were/are fire. Gymnastics and everything to boot. These ladies still performed well, but if you see the real thing, it'll blow your mind.
Plus it was in a close, confined room. I'm sure it is mind blowning! The music, that instrument, is that a native igboo instrument? It's beautiful and meditative. I love African cultures and proud to be of African heritage!

The Girls in general did fantastic Dance !!! The Whistle Blower ( Ogbu Oja ) deserves Credit. All the Girls can dance BUT the FRONT Lead Girl has noticeable Dance Abilities.....She is the Girl that performed "The Prelude Movements" from 0:06 to 0:36 What part of Igboland is she from? ........Ajuju ka mu juru. Aru di kwa ya nma.....I have watched her many times. And I will keep watching her. Her parents raised her very well. She behaves like a GOOD girl. I am from Aguata , Anambra State and I live in California.
Keep it pure, this is culture not a fad! I wanted to join an adult Caribbean troupe but I was told that it was spiritual and because I respect the culture I was told that it was more than just movements of the body and being that I am not from the Caribbean I understood what the lady was telling me so needless to say I of course didn't join but I do respect cultures.

BECAUSE IGBO'S dance is BIG with different KINDS of strong trucks, the way they can twist and twerk from their BACK, their HIP, and their LEGS till the feet... Tears runs down my soul as I see our rich cultures being vanishing, only few are practicing them in another man's land abroad, but at home it's vanishing due to subjugation and marginalization, sociopolitical, #socioeconomic strangulation and hardship #glasssealing convened on our Biafra people by the #NigeriaBritish govt that lead our people to run abroad and leave these cultural values including our language and beliefs to die at home.
