Quinn is the starting QB. Arch is number 2 right now. I see this as a blessing for Arch b/c he's getting more and more experience playing on this great team. Next season, Arch won't be a deer in the headlights and he will know how to lead this team to Win a championship.
Anyone who watches the Longhorns would see how relaxed Ewers is this season. He has been in the system and he is making good decisions. He is making hard throws look effortless and getting the ball out fast and accurately.
To say that Arch should start over Quin is stating that you don't trust Steve Sarkisian's coaching ability. If you don't understand that statement, then maybe you should just sit back and be quiet. #3 is QB1. Arch will assume command next year. But, Arch being there in case #3 cannot go is awesome.
Absolutely correct as usual. Ewers is at the peak of his game, Manning is extremely talented but has much less experience. Ewers is so calm, stepping into the pocket and rocking his checkdowns. Manning is very good but holds on to the ball way too long, his check-downs aren't even close, he is very accurate and absolutely can drop the long ball. To win a championship you need a tactician who can read the best defenses and not get rattled, injuries aside it's Ewers team.
Arch is an incredible talent and the future is very bright for UT. Quinn’s experience and development puts him ahead of Arch. Next season Arch will be in full force next season with more experience and that much more developed. This is still Quinn’s team
Any one who has any time invested in watching the longhorns knows there will not be a controversy. Do not get that confused with if quinn starts to struggle he will be benched.
Any true LH fan knows there's no QB controversy. Quinns team. Arch's next year. Thank you posting this JD. The team knows it, Quinn knows it and so does Arch.
It has already been decided that Ewer is the man who is under consideration as a Heisman hopeful. The idea is that the coach is giving Arch every possible opportunity to get in the game and play to gain confidence and become the starter next year
This is right. I am excited about Arch because he is the future and the future is bright. Quinn Ewers is right now. He has been there and experienced the big games. Next year, we will have Wingo, Lockett, Ffrench, and whichever receivers come back and we will have Arch at QB. That’s exciting. We are ready to win THIS YEAR. And the leader of this team is Quinn.
everyone wants INSTANT gratification -- no patience --- everything is all flash and no substance -- ala Manziel -- we don't want a Manziel -- leave Ewers in there if he is healthy -- Arch needs to grow and mature still -- leave Texas alone and let us cook -- trust Sark and Sark alone -- I want the media to leave Texas ALONE -- not you, you're fine lol, you don't BS -- but the others (you know who they are)
Anyone saying that Ewers has more experience, let me remind you, losing experience??? Ewers tends to throw INTs during big games that end up costing Texas. Is that the experience you're talking about? I am sick and tired of the old "let's go with seniority, the more experienced guy" because most times often, that leads you to not achieving your maximum as a team. If the damn freshman is the better talent, then you go with the better talent...period! There's a reason why he's a better talent!! Then why recruit if you're only going to keep going with the "more experienced" guy? Experience doesn't always lead to better productivity. Anyone can see that Manning's way better than Ewers.
with Arch's freshman performance in last night's game -- I seriously think that the hype will slow WAY down -- he's a freshman -- he made freshman mistakes - lots of them -- but he will get better I'm sure--- but Ewers is in NO danger of losing his job this year --- and Clemson has a very cushy schedule -- even more cushy than Texas ... wait till they really PLAY someone ...
The way I see it, could arch lead the team for the rest of the year, absolutely, could he do just as good of a job as Quinn if not better, potentially. Sark trusts arches development and sees the added pressure onto arch as a starter with national championship expectations. Which is not needed. Let him continue to develop, get some game reps while Quinn heals (potential 16 game season) and have him ready for week 1 at Ohio state next year.
Great video! I am very tired of hearing about this. Arch is great and we’re so excited to have him and see him play! However, Quinn is amazing also, he’s our QB…. Period. Arch will have his time, and he will be great! Let’s rally behind Quinn!
Tell that to Andy & Ari. They put out some BS click bait content yesterday about this very thing. I consider On3 a highbrow, reliable, and respected content producer. I was disappointed to see them feed into this crazy nonexistent narrative. Thx JP for keeping it real and reminding the fanatics out there to stay calm, cool, and collected. Arch’s time will come and he will be phenomenal.
Anybody else notice how every college football media outlet is putting out their own segment admonishing the rest of the media for creating fake controversy about the Texas QB situation? But I cannot find actually trying to claim there is any debate here? All these guys just want to get on their high horse and criticize click bait about Arch, thereby creating click bait about Arch
My sources say hes already locked up the heisman. They told quinn ewers to kick rocks only a manning will have the talent to defeat the juggernaut colorado in the national championship
Totally agree...Quin has been through the gauntlet already it's his 3rd year the game has slowed down for him. people that think Arch should leapfrog over him don't know football. as good as Vince young was the best ever at Texas it was his 3rd season that it all jelled for him.
Arch is the future but it’s Quinn’s team. He has the experience and the talent! It’s Quinn’s team. There wouldn’t be a controversy if Arch’s last name wasn’t Manning. Hook Em!
Quinn is QB #1, end of story. The only way that might possibly change is if something (major injury) happens to him. Quinn has the one thing that Arch doesn't have at this point. EXPERIENCE. There is NO qb controversy at UT 🤘🤘
Thanks for another and hate to be a negatron but this situation has "Whos going to generate more revenue this week and force a multi-million dollar espn+ pay per view spike". Written all over it. This week (espn+) It doesn't matter whos better. They weren't about to let millions sit on the bench... and on the contrary the hype was intentional...how much is that oblique?. I mean how injured?
Dony be surprised if Arch Transfers. He is statistically better than ewers. It's. About playing the best person not the oldest person. I don't care.I'm an OSU fan.I hope he transfers there

They already are trying to push this narrative this is Quinn’s team no matter what happens Arch will have his time soon enough
It has already been decided that Ewer is the man who is under consideration as a Heisman hopeful. The idea is that the coach is giving Arch every possible opportunity to get in the game and play to gain confidence and become the starter next year
Thank you JD. Excellent explanation
This is right. I am excited about Arch because he is the future and the future is bright. Quinn Ewers is right now. He has been there and experienced the big games.

This vid's why you're one of the best in the business, JD 😎🤘
Quinn ewers is the best qb in the country
everyone wants INSTANT gratification -- no patience --- everything is all flash and no substance -- ala Manziel -- we don't want a Manziel -- leave Ewers in there if he is healthy -- Arch needs to grow and mature still -- leave Texas alone and let us cook -- trust Sark and Sark alone -- I want the media to leave Texas ALONE -- not you, you're fine lol, you don't BS -- but the others (you know who they are)
What controversy?? Ewers is the starting quarterback.......end of subject.
The other players were just as happy and excited for Manning as he was to be playing. That's called teamwork. But it's Ewers' team.
Thank you! Exactly on the crazy click bait Ewers issue
Its already started. Absurd.

I agree completely with your assessment of this moment and situation. 💯 Hook Em' 🤘

Put down the pipe bro.

Quinn Ewers is our Qb period. He's earned it! HOOK EM'🤘
Arch Prizepicks will be interesting

Saying Arch should be the starter is such a casual take. Hook em 🤘🏽
"Dealin' the pill like a shady pharmacist"...JD, I'm using this one....pure genius.
They're giving Quinn another week to recover because they are planning for the SEC.
Thanks for another and hate to be a negatron but this situation has "Whos going to generate more revenue this week and force a multi-million dollar espn+ pay per view spike". Written all over it. Ewers is still QB1
Good title to be mindful of: CLICKBAIT
Dony be surprised if Arch Transfers. He is statistically better than ewers. It's.
About playing the best person not the oldest person. I don't care.I'm an OSU fan.I hope he transfers there
All this bs from you fans if Arch keeps lighting teams up and you don't go with the better more natural I hope he transfers to Alabama or Tennessee
Quinn is ok but Arch is GREAT
UR a smart man!!
