We honestly weren’t sure when or how to release this, but felt it was a shame to not have anyone see it. If people enjoy this sort of thing, we have some other projects we’ve done and are interested in making that we may release down the road as other standalone shorts.

Well I don’t know about lore implication, but it definitely tells us a lot about character attitude. Willow is reckless and risky, whereas Wilson is careful and only takes necessary dangers.

Honestly, we'd be interested in exploring it as a possibility, but it's tough to do on our own while keeping the game(s) up to date and our main focus (which they are and always will be). If people really want one best thing they can do is let streaming providers like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu Etc know you'd watch one :)

as a Willow main, I can confirm that this is exactly the dynamic we have with our lovable Wilsons.
As another Willow main, I can also confirm that we are both reckless and don't listen to reason
as a Willow main also who's partner mains Wilson, this is literally us every time. I spent an entire 3 days in game trying to lure a beefalo back to camp before giving up and just killing it while my partner was doing actual work to make us a crockpot lol they even made a sign telling me not to bring wild animals back to camp and yet
as another WIllow main who's also have partner mains wilson, I can assure you that my partner is the voice of reason while I.. tend to brute force things ;)
I love the interaction between Willow and Wilson. And it's spot on accurate, [in my opinion]. With Wilson being more cautious and on task than Willow, while Willow just wants to get over it and takes more risks.

Willow: Yeah, like what? Tracking lethal spider for their meat? Making thermal stones for heat? We stash our goods in monster maws! The scarecrows might as well be dolls! It's a wonder how we survive at all!
Wilson: On the horizon, the Moon is rising, the night is creeping ever nearer! The camp is waiting, for our kindling, to light us through our fears! Maybe Willow's right can we survive another night? Here we do what no one won't, but who must starve so that we don't?

Willow: Now let's get back!

Watching other people do a "controlled burn" with any character is horrifying enough, but seeing anyone play willow is more frightening. I used to play her all the time in the beginning too. I died a lot.

Seeing the way they talk in-game can give you an idea, for example; Wolfgang, despite being a big muscular man, gets scared easily and is overall very stupid, judging by promotional art, he is often drawn alongside Wickerbottom, so they are probably good teammates with a polar opposites feel to it

Okay, I just realized something terrifying about this animation. There’s the head of a spider hanging over the fire. Now notice that Webber is not in the group of survivors, despite being one of the “mascot” characters for the game…
Webber's representation in the shorts is always very lackluster, but he was in the previous winter's feast animation so what do i know

Maybe they could use adventure mode as the ending! I mean, I'm pretty sure the end of adventure mode is canon- And death and respawning (I think, don't know *all* the details)
@@eeveepersoproductions1694 Basically, Adventure mode is canon but before DST, which is what this video seems to slightly be. After Adventure mode, canonically, Wilson takes the place of Maxwell on the Nightmare Throne. After about 3 days Charlie kills him and sends him back to Survival. After Maxwell died he too became a Survivor and Wilson and Maxwell met each other. After a fight they decided to work together to get out, they built the Jury Rigged Portal, Charlie saw this and turned it into the Florid Postern, which then brought every other Survivor together for DST. There's more lore before and after that but that's the basics.

I actually survived 14 days as wes on my first run without help and in isolation with all my own stuff and not taking a thing from dead as well being on a public server so either I got lucky or I am good PS my main is wurt not wes
I was playing with a wes and they made like 30 balloons, went insane, got one shotted by a crawling horror, used our touchstone, then died again.

its rather passion i feel from them. they care for the work they did. im not that much into dont starve. ( i played alot in vanilla) but when i sat down to ONI .. man every and each update was amazing. and now dlc is taking it to another level

Do not suggest it as a Netflix series. They'd mess up too much, and I guarantee that they'd make it live action because "god forbid it be animation", and throw in mainstream tv drama and romance.

Sure if you desperate need them it's easier just to go to the Lunar Grotto, and they're a pain early game compared to Totally Normal Trees, but on my longer worlds I'd say that at least 90% of my living logs come from treeguards
