Spoiler Warning!!!! What I really enjoy about the opening scenes for S1 and S3 is that at first, you think he is showing all of the primal sources, and then explaining about dark magic. For example, you see Sol Regum diving into the lake, and you think it is because he is speaking about the Ocean Arcanum. Then in season 3, we are given more context this scene, and the scene where Sol Regum is speaking to the original dark mage, not only does this explain the motives behind the humans, it also paints the dragons and elves in a harsher light. Before that, we were given tons of examples of how humans are the bad guys and that the elves and dragons are innocent, which is not the case. It really hammers home the point King Harrow made about how there have been many wrongs, not just on the humans side, but also the elves. It really changes your perspective on the world of Xadia. I know I rambled on but the brilliance of this writing overwhelms me!
I also acknowledged this and it inspired me to make this video. I tried to picture out that mistakes were made on both sides and that Callum and the others are brave enough to end this chain of cruel.
