    @9:35 The roof is cleverly done. Clean look. In the future I would hang blacked out curtains on the aluminum bars holding the monitors up to block the light from the bottom, just feel eve mor enclosed, connect it the same way you did the race net, something to that effect. I’m definitely gonna try that roof idea. 👍🏾

    I'm not sure if I'm mostly inspired or jealous. I must get back on making use of my Ender 3 Pro, because being able to just print bits and bobs that would be a pain to procure otherwise is absolutely the way to go. Cool rig you built yourself there with some great unique touches, a man after my own heart. Why buy something off the rack when you can spend 5 - 10 times as much reinventing the wheel because ideas! The only saving grace is that when something does finally get finished it's often well worth all the down sides. Nicely done, young man!

  • @ZenOfAllThings

    This is really nice and clean, especially love the roof idea!
    Just a few quick questions if I may?
    1. Did you just screw the 2x4 wood into the brackets where it pivots? (Hard to tell; if so - very clean and smooth paint job on the 2x4!)
    2. You're the first person I've seen use the PCPanel volume control box. I use one for my primary gaming PC and just bought one for the rig I'm building but haven't thought out what I'll assign to each knob and/or push button action.
    What are you specifically using yours to control? Do you control the bass shakers with it as well or just game sound vs. windows, etc?
    Overall, fantastic job and excellent walk through!

    • @robelliot3511
      @robelliot3511  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may!
      1) Yes, the wood brackets are tightly bolted to a metal plate that acts as the hinge. I think it is around the 8 min mark. I didn't buy the brackets especially for this, they were just bracket pieces I had for a 4th monitor add on I had (Which I stopped using becuase when I looked up I crashed)
      2) I used it for Windows volume, discord volume, spotify volume. I used rotary encoders on my dash programed for iracing volume up down, voice chat up down, and they were push button types that I programmed for muste driver, and mute all drivers. I didnt end up using the pc panel as much as I thought I would.

    This is so awesome! I would love to build something similar. Your video was super detailed which was wonderful. Im curious as to what your hardware specs are for the sim as well as the PC. Im still trying to figure out the perfect screen size and fov for maximum immersion. The main event of this rig has got to be that roof though! My god how did you plan it so well to have such clean cable management while including 4 speakers and an LED light. Not to mention the immersion factor which is the biggest thing I like. You definitely inspired me to go for it and do my own after thinking about it for a long time. Would love to see more!

      Computer has an 11th gen cpu, 3080ti, 2 1TB Samsung HD, 32 GB ram. Minus the GPU it’s not super silly over the top. Screen size comes down to budget. 27 or 32. 1080 or 1440. I use the latter. FOV is forever a conversation point for all of us sim racers, but my triple 32’s give me about 180 degrees. But you don’t need that.

      @@robelliot3511 Thank you so much for the info! I got my hands on a 3090 so im considering 1440p or maybe 4k but that maybe be much even for a 3090. In terms of screen size I got myself 3 x 1080p 32-inch monitors to try out and they look kind of small and yours look huge. That's why i think ur roof is such a good idea. It covers the top of the screen creating a dark area on top to lock your view on the screens. I think I will stay at 32inches and upgrade to 1440p. Thank you for posting that video, Im going to be trying out the roof idea 💡 💯

    • @robelliot3511
      @robelliot3511  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure what you mean by Support Dolby but the real kick ass sound setup is that seven speaker Logitech setup. But even 2 sets of cheap speakers like I have give you surround within iracing. You hear cars coming up behind/beside you.

      @@robelliot3511 Sorry to hear about your old keyboard. Yes, you mentioned that in the vid. I was thinking the dark environment might require a backlit keyboard. You can also find cheaper backlit keyboards on amazon that do actually work, but they kinda suck. I'm using Logitech MX Keys, and it works really well.
