Yeah, me too. There have been many interesting LI outreach tools on sumo over the past year (Bhuman Leadr, Closely, ScrabIn, Periodix...now Aimfox) that it can get hard to keep a clear overview over what tool does what and which of these (or which combination of these) is best suited for which purpose.
The CSV contains: id: Numeric values (e.g., "2727685") full_name: Text strings containing people's names occupation: Text strings describing job titles and roles location: Text strings containing city, state, and country information profile_url: Text strings containing LinkedIn profile URLs
I'm unsure if broad appeal should be a criterion for high scores. I'd rather know if the software is great for a specific use case, not just because it appeals to everyone. Just my opinion. Keep up the great work, Dave. I'm a big fan.
Thanks for the comment @smarchessault. The scoring system has been refined over the last 5 years and I'm happy with the current approach. Now you know a niche tool is never going to be 8+ from me. 👍
@@dave-swift I understand now, so everything is good. After watching many of your videos, I didn't realize this was a criterion. I should have paid closer attention if you mentioned it before. My mistake.
No need to apologize! I've done hundreds of reviews. I include my score for fun, but most of all the screen recording is there for you to decide if it's a good fit for you!
@@dave-swift Love your videos and honest approach. However, perhaps your scoring system needs further refinement. If you discover the best niche product in the world, it seems rather extreme to give it a 7.9 just because "it's not for everybody." I'd much rather have a GREAT niche product for my specific needs than an average tool. So, yeah, I'd say your scoring system is flawed, and it's the part of your reviews I take with a grain of salt since it honestly doesn't make much sense to me.
Hi Dave, do you think the tool will come back on Black Friday? Also Aimfox? I want to get them, and time is running out, but I'm greedy and want a lower price. So I'm wondering if they'll be cheaper on Black Friday, or if at least we'll get promo codes to get them cheaper. What do you think? Should I wait or not?
What tool are you asking if they will come back? Aimfox will still be available on Black Friday for sure, most deals last 60 days, but at a minimum 30.
@@dave-swift But how do you know the date when the deals that are available on Appsumo were added? When I take a deal at random I don't see its date of addition so I can't know when it's going to arrive 30 days or 60 days
If people ask about your ratings, maybe you can show them how you rate. If you have certain criteria like, user experience, design, price, ease of use etc. You can split them up into individual ratings that sum up a total. Just a thought that could save you the explanation ;)
I don't mind dropping clues, but the scoring is for fun. In the end, you have the screen recording to watch and decide for yourself! It's not like a food review where you have to just trust the video that the food was good/bad. 👍
Are tools like this even allowed to be used with LinkedIn? I feel like they would have some spam detection or automated outreach restrictions/ penalties
It probably is a violation of the LinkedIn TOS but automation tools like this have been popular for the better part of a decade. Here is what Aimfox says about how they keep your account safe: "Aimfox uses random intervals between automated actions, ensuring a seamless integration that maintains the integrity of your user experience. Unlike other tools, Aimfox operates without altering LinkedIn's user interface or publicly exposing any code, aligning closely with a user-first approach to automation."
Would love to get a comparison between this and closley

Curious to know what the audience export csv file looked like. Did it include any contact information, phone, email, etc. pulled from LinkedIn?

what about Leadfwd ?
I haven't tried it! Is it good?
@dave-swift i have no idea but It's the only competitor currently on Appsumo they have similar evaluations
Closely is also on AppSumo, I just reviewed that: th-cam.com/video/rbBrBFQosls/w-d-xo.html

You can usually figure out a launch date based on messages from the founder, reviews, or questions.
@dave-swift very good intelligent this dave ! 🧠

Which one do you think is the best, Aimfox or Closely?
Both have strengths and weaknesses.
I have a full review of Closely here: th-cam.com/video/rbBrBFQosls/w-d-xo.html
How safe is this? I see many negative Closely reviews about suspensions
LinkedIn automation has never been "safe" but it also has never gone away! You need to follow strict limits and even then there is risk.

If they could incorporate Post Management, I think it would take this tool to the next level.
That would be 👍👍
