Beautiful tags! Tag making is so much fun, they are so versatile, they can be any theme, any color…the list goes on and on. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I think they are a wonderful divergence from cards. You use all the same supplies. And then if you can't figure out anything else to do with them - You can make them into a card front! LOL
This was fun to watch, Julia. Your friend will love this tag/bookmark! I loved the way you manipulated the cheesecloth into a pretty and interesting form. I have not tried “vintage” at all but I should. I really liked the effect of the different elements as they worked well together. (I watch your videos in the evening as your voice is very calming.) ❤️🇨🇦🙏
You know, when I first started using cheesecloth I thought well this is not going to work. And then I realized you have to kind of pull it apart a bit and then it looks right. I think the gold pen work really set this piece off.
I like all the texture on the tag! I really haven’t made tags so I think I’m gonna try it! I have those foiled fancies too! Fun! I would probably use them for a card focal or like you said the bookmark is a great idea too! Thanks for fun inspiration! ❤
Welcome Wanda! We are still in between - and by that I mean the Tennessee farm is for sale and we are summering in GA in a little house we bought to live in while we build. But the build is waiting on the sale - and round we go!! There is a lot of good content on the channel and I hope you may find some time to back watch?!
I brought some paper wishes. It was frames, Butterflies and and different shape card bases. I moved and had to box it up. I am going to get it out and use it. Thanks for the ideas 😅😅😅
Moving is a nightmare. We are in the middle of a 2 phase move. Living in a very small interim house while our farm sells. Most of my supplies are in storage.
G'day Julia, this was a delightful video...! I loved the colour choice for the background, and your completed cardstock was so pretty. I enjoyed your process as you used the sandwich bag to scrunch the colours down, and it worked a treat. Julia, you used water-based inks to create the background, but I wonder what it would look like with distress oxides, or even pigment inks and then do a random emboss. People can spend a lot of money purchasing patterned papers/ cardstock for a similar look. Maybe we should stop purchasing those bulky paper pads and create our own unique designs. I love script stamps and using them in that way. I usually don't make tags and this video was literally screaming at me to start making them. I think they would look gorgeous with Biblical verses that you could put in your Journal the Word Bible, or in the pockets of a journal. Wouldn't they make beautiful gifts if you made a set and boxed them up. On this cold foggy winter's morning you brightened my day. God's blessings, love and hugs. Gloria 🥰🌻❤
Howdy Gloria - I have distress oxides - somewhere but they must be in storage, because they didn't show up in the "ink" boxes...same with most of my embossing folders. So, this year until we get the house build and the storage units unpacked, I am limping a bit. LOL Now, I think your idea of Bible verse book marks is a good one. You could very easily make them into journal tags and a fabulous gift!! Make some and let me know!! Hugs back atcha, Jullia
Your tag came out absolutely lovely! I love how you drew your color inspiration from the piece of mulberry colored paper. I also love that did both sides too! So many possibilities with these tags! I am going to give a few a try once I am back in GA, but I am now delayed going back by a week, so not sure I will be able to participate in this months challenge unfortunately. I''ll have to see what things look like when I get back there. Thank you for this video on making tags! I am intrigued and love the idea of using them for book marks!
Love your color cube cards!! Where did you get those from??? I love making tags. I make too many to ever be able to use. That's why I like Happy Mail...bless others!!!
