A fellow Minnesotan! Nice to see a real world video on this kit- I’m looking at one for my 97 Cobra. I’ve researched this kit to the Nth degree and even with stuff people say you should upgrade from the kit it still looks like the best value out there for the power it makes compared to a centri blower or twin screw. The only real gripes I’ve read about the kit is the lines that come with the oil relocation kit; I guess people like to change to AN fittings. I also hear about people going with a different wastegate. I’m still sold on this kit!
More videos of this car more of a breakdown video would be appreciated explain install tuning any issues you may have had along the way 6 psi whoch setup did you use for the on3 kit what dod you buy additional
DUDE!! saw an older vid of yours driving where I live! Would love to checkout this car sometime, I Am looking to get one with this kit allready installed on a 98 gt, 110k miles for $6k. do you think that is a fair price?
Where bouts mn? Im just south of fargo nd, i plan to do a turbo build with my mustang. Looking into hellion or maybe the on3 twin set if they allow all accessories. Hellion does for sure
Nice! Does that coolant tank have some sort of lower support? I see the top where it attaches to the power steering reservoir but I’d assume there must be something on the bottom also?
Thanks boss! It was pretty straightforward, there were a few hickups but nothing too bad. Dumb stuff like I had a piggyback underdrive pulley on my harmonic dampener that I had to take off for clearance of the charge pipe. Anyways, yep. Stock internals! Stock clutch too. In the winter, with all the torque, it’ll slip the clutch a BIT under full throttle in 3rd-4th. But not much
The middle front edge of the pan is where I tapped it… in hindsight I would’ve put it somewhere else. Reason is… that line has about 3 millimeters of clearance between the edge of the harmonic dampener and the hose coming off the pan. In fact, I had to take off my under drive pulleys (main reason the HD pulley is a piggy back) in order for things to work. So keep that in mind!
You got it boss. Rear side of the cut is roughly 4 1/2 inches wide, front cut is 4”. 15” long both sides. Running alongside the GT scoop, the front edge of the vents match where the scoop starts. S197 vents off of Amazon for $20 👍🏼 Hope that helps
Is this the gen 2 kit? Also howwould you rate the difficulty meter on the install for one man? Just say a 6 out of 10 for me when it comes to knowledge on how turbos work. I just don't wanna go supercharger honestly
Yep, the gen 2 kit. I’d give it a 7/10 for difficulty. Definitely a learning experience! Just know that you’ll also need to install a tubular K member and A arms up front in order for the kit to fit 👍🏼 But it’s well worth it in the end!
don't go with short gears like 4.10s if you plan on boosting the car, if you're keeping it NA then 4.10s are nice, if you're planning for boost 3.55 or 3.73s are the way to go
175k on the clock my man! 360whp/420tq off the dyno sheet. Since I swapped my intake from the old dorman…. That hp number feels more like 380 now. That’s backed up by my tuner, he told me to swap it after the dyno session. 💃
@@esundproductions Thats a beast of a 2v right there! I am also running stock internals and have 120k on the odometer so I was wondering what I could expect in terms of reliability. I'm planning on pushing between 350-400 whp. Thanks for the info and you have a sick car.
Turn the boost up! Should be safe with 9-11 pounds as long as you have enough fuel. I wouldnt run anything less unless you were running a stock automatic

No way, awesome man! That 98GT sounds like an awesome deal for 6K. Low miles too!

@esundproductions that's awesome!! I get out that way now and then! Maybe will have to meet up sometime once I get my car rolling!

It’s got the top two bolt mounts and flange, as well as a cnc machined brace extending against the side of the power steering reservoir
@@esundproductions Ahhhh ok. It seems daily sturdy then?
nice ride and setup. how was it installing it? are you on stock internals?

Hello do you have a 3in intercooler installed?
Yes I do
where do you have the turbo oil feed and drain tapped in the pan?

Bro, sound’s amazing! I just landed myself a GT from California, how much would you want to install the same thing on mine? Not too far from you, ND.
Thanks boss man! Dude not much, nowhere near a shop rate. I’d definitely help you out! Shoot me an email it’s just Esundproductions@gmail.com 🤝

Do you still have the original upper SS coolant pipe?
If I do, it’s laying around in a parts pile somewhere!
@@esundproductions I lost mine and am switching up my coolant system. How much would you want for it?
How do you have the coolant catch can plumbled up? I have that kit but not sure what and where to run the lines for the coolant expansion delete tank.
I had to use a SHIT load of adapters to make the stock plumbing work for it!
@@esundproductions I believe it lol… they not anyone had an actual “how to” on the plumbing of this thing!
I’ll make a video about it coming up sometime!
@@esundproductions I’d appreciate that!
What do you do think installing a new set of gears on the car? Do you recommend 3.73 or 4.10 gears? Im really stuck trying to decide between the two.
If I had to pick, I’d go 4:10’s
Depends on the power you are wanting to make, and if you are trying to go turbo or sc?
Turbo will like the 3.27s or 3.55s best.

@@esundproductions 360 hp with just a turbo??
So from what I gather everyone under boost runs 11.5 at wot how often do you change the oil or what oil do you run
I change the oil every 3k miles. For a while I was using Rotella T6… sometimes I’ll go 5w20/30 mix full synthetic. Usually Mobil 1. She loves it

I will! I’ve got a 9lb spring laying around somewhere… will I be able to find it? That’s the fun part!
My fuel pump is a single 320lph. No fancy fuel system here… so you think it’ll handle it up high over time? Duty cycle wise?
@@esundproductions Oh yeah! Ive made 500 on a 255. That 9# spring will wake that car up a lot!
