My first car and still kicking ass. Matipid pa rin sa consumption. I have a 2004 Vios 1.5G. Some parts replacements done so far (only once) - front and rear shocks, tie rod, wheel bearings, steering/drive belts, and that pesky front lamp - meron leak kaya pumasok yung tubig. Mileage - 77,000KM.

I have the same unit! 🙂 Ilaw lang ponalitan ko. You're absolutely right, nasa quality talaga ng ilaw lang yon. Nag palit ako ng LED 2 years ago. Until now gumagana pa. Mas maganda kasi ang LED lalo kapag projector lights! Kasi maganda yung pag kalat ng ilaw. Kung may budget, go with keon sondra. Reliable yon sobra.

Part of the reason why Toyota Vios is the best-selling car in the Philippines for almost 2 decades na is because of "fleet sales" by taxi operators, private and public companies and even most LGU police units - and hindi dapat ikahiya ng mga Vios user na pang-taxi or pang-Grab sya dahil yan ang isa sa reason kung bakit sa mga auto shops or even katayan maraming pyesa at maraming nag-aayos din nito.
And yeah I agree, for me also best design yung Vios 3rd gen (superman) kesa sa previous or even later gen... Yung before nito, mukhang hamster or pagong, yung later version medyo edgy and galit... but kanya-kanyang opinion naman yan.

Agreed - personally, eto yung pinakamagandang itsura ng Vios so far. Kahit 4-speed lang, swabe compared sa CVT. Yun nga lang - noon pa man, malakas na talaga siya sa gas.
And a mass market model is not bad at all - ang daming piyesa and aftermarket kaya sure kang may support in the years to come. Gawa rin nang car of choice ng taxi - kahit sinong manong talyer kayang paandarin. And dahil simple at proven yung 4-speed, long lasting talaga.
Good choice.

thanks fir the inquiry. not 100% sure ako sa sagot, pero i think may comatible LED naman on all generations of vios, well kasi Toyota, so i think maraming after market options 😀

Metallic Gray ang tawag sa gantong color.
personally for the new model, yung Grayish Blue Mica Metallic ang 1st choice of color ko, then 2nd is black, coz you can never go wrong with black :)
suggestion ko lang wag yug red, mainit sa mata and may study daw na mas napapansin ng mga enforcer ang red kaya most likely na mahuli pag red car :)
alumina jade naman, ok lang if you like the color, pero sa personal taste ko, hindi ko sya bet sa Vios hehe😁

magkano bili mo papz? no baklas aircon cleaning ka lang papz. kasi maraming aircon shop hindi marunong mag karga ng tamang charge sa ac kaya wag mo tlg ipagalaw freon mo kung malamig pa nman

How many km/L po yung vios and yaris niyo? Looking to also get a 2nd hand vios/yaris for my 2nd car since ill be graduating med school this year. Manggalinga ko sa Suzuki Vitara JLX 1.6, masyadong mahal gas at 6.5km/L. haha. Still figuring out if okay na sa akin ang 1.3 or 1.5. Wala pa akong kinikita so fuel efficiency and affortable parts ang number 1 priority ko. Hindi naman issue ang status quo ng vios since practical tayo. haha Thank you for your review. :)

i think mas better ang fuel economy ng mga CVT na Vios or Yaris ngayon, though for a second car, you can never go wrong with Toyota. kung city driving naman ang main purpose, go with the 1.3L for better fuel economy tutal may Vitara ka na for highway driving 😀

hello bos sana masagot planning to buy 2nd hand vios for my daily drive quezon city to paranaque. ang pasok po sa budget is 2014-2017 model. tanong lang bos worth it ba ito compared sa ibang competitors tulad ng hyundai accent gusto ko kasi ng tipid at reliable budget sedan mahal kasi civic or altis. ano po mostly common issue neto at mahal ba maintenance? salamat po sana masagot

Thank for the question 😀 appreciate if you can consider a like and subscribe. to start, you can never go wrong with a Toyota, lalo na ang vios.sa dami ng tumatakbong taxi at grab, subok na subok na ang tibay and reliability, plus kung magkakaron man ng unfortunate accident, maraming spare parts 👍 hindi nga lang sya exciting and engaging to drive like an Altis or civic, pero for a daily car, it will bring you from point a to b without any issue basta alagaan lang ng maayos para alagaan din nya tayo. Thanks for the question so I'll answer honestly 😀 after 3 years (warranty expiration), sa Rapide nako nagpa service. medyo mahal kasi pag sa casa pero if I had the spare money, I'll back then like I do now, sa casa ako mag papa maintain. Because at the end of the day, in terms of resale value, walang tatalo sa casa maintained 😀

thanks for the wiestion, not sure if this helps, pero as much as possible magpark sa may lil para hindi masyado maarawan, the usual linis para hindi maipon ang dumi, and i think nakatulong din na stock ang headlights ko dahil hindi natanggal ang factory seal😀

Thanks for the curious question. Unfortunately noong 2015 Toyota hindi pa uso ang reverse cameras, kahit nga Yung back up sensor add on pa 😂
But we pay for quality and reliability talaga, so yung mga add ons, well, add na lang talaga by the owner hehe

Thank you for the question. Right now sa day to day driving of going from Manila to Taguig (12.8km) at an average speed of 18km/h (pauwi at night), nasa 11.5km/L.
Around 9.8km/L sya sa morning due to heavy Metro Manila traffic.
More or less it's a more than average result for an average car 😀

woo diyos ko wag ka mag cvt.. sinasabi ko sayo magsisisi ka. rent ka muna ng cvt na vios. sigurado ako di mo magugustuhan lalo nat galing ka rin sa 1.5g vios tulad ko. SOBRANG KUUPAAAAD. tska kala mo matipid? hindi ah.. sa sobrang kupaad hindi tuloy ako nakakatipid. gensan - cdo ako vice versa around 900kms nag average lang ako 14km/l full tank method and magisa lang ako nun. 1.3L pa nga un at 8k pa lang odo. niwala ka dyan sa cvt.. kalokohan yan. ticking time bomb yan kaya nga trash-mission tawag dyan ng mga americans/europians. may narentahan akong cvt vios 80k+ odo. nagsslip habang paahon ako from a full traffic stop at 35 degree incline. kala ko ba may launch gear cvt ng toyota eh mukhang wala nman sa vios ngun.
