YES! LOVE! Keep it comin! I have been a fistweaver stan FOREVER and just recently saw some traction on the caster style and WOW its so crazy, ha. So MUCH healing, and its less stressful haha -- thanks and looking forward to more
This is a great build for pugging in. I like your very sensible point that pugs don't know you, they don't necessarily trust you so slam them with healing, make them feel comfortable, okay so going above 11s or 12s this doesn't hit the high notes of damage but you're not going to be accused of not healing enough and honestly, it makes people happy to feel safe. If you are pugging higher than 12s then good luck to you. :p
im so sad that druids dont have options for dmg like this, but great video. We have a guy that runs mistweaving in our M+ group that is really put off by fist weaving. Some of our other guys are jokingly pressuring him into it, but he really doesnt like the melee playstyle and gets clapped by melee mechanics that he's not familiar with. 100% gonna show him this video. he'll probably see my comment, hi Pink
This video was originally 45 minutes, and had both the beginner & build-specific stuff in one. But I thought that was too long. Will try to make the beginner version in a timely manner but these take ages to get what I'm saying right. If you have any questions or criticism for this build let me know. I wanted to make this video at the beginning of November but I had to digest a few hundred more keys across live/tourney realm to really settle on this build. Ran it through 15 & 16 Necrotic Wake on TR earlier in the month and had no issues so I figured it was good enough to deploy the guide.
Great video! As I am only level 71 at the moment, I’ll use this build for the low level dungeons to get used to this healing style and add in ramping procedures as I become more accustomed to this.
I felt the same about kicks when I first started trying to cook this one but i think maybe the skill expression of the build is knowing when to be in melee vs. when you can be off in africa baiting things like the stitchflesh swirlies without sacrificing anything but also maybe im coping
Thanks, going to try this tomorrow. I really like castweaving starting to move into 10s. I've been running my own weird varient of cast weaving with Master of Harmony, big lightening heals and Sheilun Gift. I'm down to try this because I have no idea how good my build is actually.
@IVIV Thank you so much for this. What a great guide. I'm sure it took you a lot of time and effort. Because of this video, I've decided to try MW after years of RDruid and RSham. 4 questions 1) When is the best time to drink Mana Tea? 2) If tank needs massive healing, can you clarify what the rotation is? 3) Can you have different Cell profiles per character? 4) Would you mind listing or msging me all your keybinds for max efficiency/comfort? I have some hand pain so anything helps! Sorry I know that's asking a lot. I just donated $25 for ya, worth every cent! =) Thank you again, take care
Hey glad you enjoyed it & thank you so much! Lemme see if i can help This is a very very long comment, so if it's not readable properly here, let me know where I can send it to make it better to read. I also put the entire text of this comment into this paste link if you wanna copy it somewhere else ( controlc.com/7d5273cf ) 1) Whenever you're capped at 20, or just before you need to heal and are not at full mana. Don't use it like water, don't drink at the end of a pull if you're missing mana, but rather drink at the start of a pull to regain mana + use the 30% mana discount you get from after the channel ends. Also take a sip before major healing mechanics if you are not at full mana. 2) Cocoon is first up, to buy you time. Then to max out tank HPS once you have time, soothing mist -> enveloping mist -> vivify 3 times -> enveloping mist -> vivify 3 times -> repeat. Then you can celestial conduit on top of the tank to channel the full healing into them if the group isn't injured. You can also ring of peace to make the mobs stop meleeing the tank, be careful with leg sweep since it resets all the mobs swing timers and they'll all hit at the same time right after. You cannot save a tank from a true one shot, so if a prot paladin has absolutely no buffs/consecration up, you can at best buy them 1-2 seconds before they die to a tank buster on keys 13 or higher ish. 3) You can have different layouts that you can swap between, but at least the way I have it set up, cell loads things on a per-spell basis so I have all the healer things set up then it just shows only the things that apply to that specific healer. On my non-healer classes I actually turn cell off and use elvui frames. 4) My recommendations for hand discomfort are what I use. I have a 'tablet drawing glove' which is a glove that only covers the outside of your hand and ring/pinky, to minimize friction with my mouse pad. I've been a casting MW since MOP. My favorite gasket between my 4 characters. That said, I stack Crit and Mastery. Haste is the last focus for me and my heals are insane.
in a dawnbreaker i did monday night, ancient teachings was not healing absorbs. so unless it was changed today thats still the case. gusts will overheal/heal people at 100% with absorbs ya. technically ancient teachings *can* heal absorbs but it requires at least 1 hp missing, so then it heals the 1hp + the rest of that instance of healing goes into the absorb. if it not working like this lmk, i won't be online to test until >24 hours from now
Hey, this build is not particularly good in raid outside of very niche circumstances. The popular lotus infusion/pool of mists build does way better overall raid hps. That being said, in that popular build you can swap pool of mists for peer into peace for quicker spot healing on bosses like mythic kyveza as I did in this log here (www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/2LG6naYD91RpHkQN#fight=55&type=summary&source=16). this raid overall tho is very unchallenging for healers and most of the bosses just need steady hps, so even tho peer into peace gets your spot healing out quicker, it will still do less healing overall.
Thanks for the Vid! I'm struggle a bit, as englisch is not my native language. how you keep so many "renewing mist" up? Most time I'm happy to have 2-4 up, never had 5 at same time. thanks upfront! :)
Hello! remember enveloping mist and rushing wind kick each cast a free renewing mist. So when you need to heal a lot there should automatically be 5 on the group during high healing periods. Outside of that simply by using wind kick + renewing mist on cooldown should maintain about 4-5 at all times on the group. It’s ok if they drop off when you don’t need to heal.
@@notSachy worked so far, getting used to it. can you also tell me how to extend the duration? Thundertee anmd kick seems to extend it, but not the healbonus duration, just the normal renwal mist Heal. thanks!
the heal bonus duration can't be extended, that only works on new applications. wind kick will extend the renewing/enveloping mist HoTs tho (and by extension it'll extend the enveloping mist heal bonus). In times of very heavy healing, maintaining enveloping mist on the party will reapply renewing mists and that is how you 'extend' the healing bonus. hope this makes sense, let me know if it doesn't :D
I asked 2 top Mistweaver Players (Megasett and that disc guy) and they both said ranged mistweaving sucks, so even though this looks really good i just can't feel like this is a good idea
Finally, i thought i was the only one that actually was using a monk as a ranged healer. What stats do you try to even go for? There are so few ranged monks healing i can't find much info.
Stats are unchanged since it’s technically the same spells that are doing the healing, we’re just sorta changing the delivery method. Haste > Crit >> Vers/Mas. I’m working on a more basic video for the build that’ll talk about gear and such
yea its a bit weird at first, the game is so CD-focused that its weird having a build where the CDs don't really do much. but in 3min Yulon + env mist on the whole group, you do about 5.5mil hps for 20 seconds as long as you keep hots up. you should only use about 5% mana in that 20 seconds too
Error ! Rushing wind kick split dmg among all adds and for me I single target hit like 2mil but when it comes to 5 targets +30% it hits 500k per target so It never can hit 2 mil per Mob ! I assume you made a vrrbal mistake Or we have changes on skill recently ! Pls replay me cuz I am confused . Ty
Yea you're right, verbal mistake cuz I cut out a part talking about agro and I said that jade lightning does about 1-2 mil per mob, and rwk does 2-2.5 spread. but instead I said rwk does 2-2.5 mil per mob xD fixed it, video will update the edit within a day or so. ty!
I’ve done one +13 and was wondering why this isn’t playing in higher pugs. I don’t feel like chiji is too low hps on any fight yet though, and usually deaths are caused by mishaps or a 1-shot or 2-shot. But if you use your Yulon build and overheal a lot, maybe you’d be able to avoid the 2-shots in +12 and above. I think it’s a fresh update to a game where the meta is set and nothing game changing is happening until S2
Rushing wind kick is not treated like RSK by the talents in that tree (who knows why) and also the loss of double tiger palm/blackout kick cleave (cuz you dont have stomp) would mean you can't apply the damaging harmony dot fast enough. and you'd also lose overwhelming force's damage contribution for the same reasons. and all of that together would mean you'd be playing heal-only MoH which is omega bad compared to conduit. I think MoH is explicitly meant for faeline stomp/ancient teachings builds, or for damage parsing by taking stomp + wind kick. so how well would it work? very poorly in my experience. but if you can make it work pls report back
I didn't cover it because every single mistweaver spec has unchanged stat priority. however I'll talk about this in the more basic video. you'd ideally like to be at ~30% haste and ~30% crit while you have flask/food. trinkets don't matter no trinket combo made much of a difference imo. I run the ovinax vaccine trinket from mythic and then my last trinket spot has been a myriad of random stuff. TL;DR just get anything that has haste/crit. stats/consumables/trinkets, who cares, just make sure it gives you haste and/or crit (main stat is obviously also always good)
Haste is king, crit is very good. All the embellishments are mediocre, I run ascension with the writhing armor binding. Trinkets I have no idea I change my trinkets like every 5 minutes. That being said tho, all the popular guides are in agreement about gear/stats so you can check any of em tbh, healing is very feelsycraft tho so don’t be afraid to experiment. The only unique opinion I have about gear is that the build feels best to me when I have minimum 30% haste 30% crit with haste flask & food. More haste felt to me like a waste and less haste makes you have to play around yulon’s haste which is super annoying.
@@notSachy BRO omg I cant believe I just timed a +13 for the first time with this build. I did more healing and better mana consumption. I used to do the sheilun's gift build but this is way way better.
Maybe if they ever fix Heart of the Jade Serpent, but it’s been ‘bugged’ for 2 months at this point I’m almost sure the tooltip is just made up. But also with conduit + Yulon + revival, sheilun isn’t needed to cover any timing, it’s like 2 vivifys worth of healing.
@smn98498h on that boss the sprays are relatively infrequent and that’s all you have to heal for, then just make sure people are topped before the poison wave/web drops. Go heavy on applying enveloping mist, use conduit to cover one spray, and use revival if you mess up. Yulon is there just for mana management on that boss. Although dawnbreaker is actually a rlly good dungeon for long duration Yulon. But just remember, on last boss you don’t have to heal the tank and you don’t have to heal yourself. Your own defensive are enough to line up with every damage event. So you should only have the EnvMist 3 people and then vivify between them. You even have cocoon to save if you can’t top someone before the web drop overlap with poison spray in the last phase.
Just double checked, and it works on a fresh install of the game as well as my main install. Try disabling every addon besides Cell, and importing it again
This, and other hybrid builds like it, are super fun to play around with but not viable in higher level Keys. I tested a build similar to this with several guild groups that routinely run in the +10 range. We started at 4s where we just nuked down mobs. Once you start pushing higher (also depending on affixes) you will put out a huge amount of healing (overhealing) but if you get in the hole you are not going to be able to keep up with the damage output. With a similar build I was pushing 500-600k DPS and 600kHPS with high burst but with the lack of pre healing into known damage output you are a sitting duck. I've been Main Mistweaver for several years. Healing is all I do. Great work on the Vid though.
Appreciate the take, and I'm inclined to agree. My goal with this build tho was to try to find a fistweaving-alternate that people could at least use to break into 11s/12s, and I think while pretty much any build can do that, this build does meet that goal and is quite fun. I haven't had issue on tourney realm trying to play it into 14s and to be honest if 15 is the limit of this build I'm more than happy with that. Ty for watching, cheers!
they definitely still are, not sure why. I've found a lot of communities a very inelastic to any build that's not in their guides. hopefully one day we can sim our characters for fun-having-per-second but until then the cringe will continue.
Thanks for the build! Mistweaver has such a variety, i cant decide what to play.
YES! LOVE! Keep it comin! I have been a fistweaver stan FOREVER and just recently saw some traction on the caster style and WOW its so crazy, ha. So MUCH healing, and its less stressful haha -- thanks and looking forward to more

this build is awesome! thank you so much, you could heal almost all pug group no matter what
Dude loving this build, can’t wait to get home from work to try it in 12s and 13s
Did it feel good?
It was super solid, a bit lighter on the dPS and harder to get kicks but with a full melee comp that shouldn’t be a problem
I felt the same about kicks when I first started trying to cook this one but i think maybe the skill expression of the build is knowing when to be in melee vs. when you can be off in africa baiting things like the stitchflesh swirlies without sacrificing anything but also maybe im coping
Looking forward to your beginning Mistweaver guide to piggy back off of this one.
Working on it!
super useful! u did a great job explaining the build. ty ty

Thank you. This video makes me want to play mistweaver.
i loved this guide! such a fun build. Earned yourself a sub :) Keep it up!
Tysm!
this video makes me wanna make a mistweaver im excited for the guide after this now!
lmk how it goes!
@IVIV Thank you so much for this. What a great guide. I'm sure it took you a lot of time and effort. Because of this video, I've decided to try MW after years of RDruid and RSham. 4 questions
1) When is the best time to drink Mana Tea?
2) If tank needs massive healing, can you clarify what the rotation is?
3) Can you have different Cell profiles per character?
4) Would you mind listing or msging me all your keybinds for max efficiency/comfort? I have some hand pain so anything helps!
Sorry I know that's asking a lot. I just donated $25 for ya, worth every cent! =)
Thank you again, take care

I have a 'tablet drawing glove' which is a glove that only covers the outside of your hand and ring/pinky, to minimize friction with my mouse pad. Then I use fingerless compression glove for my keyboard to keep hands warm and I've also swapped over to a glorious gaming wooden hand rest. The real game changer were the gloves tho, I can't play without them. I also am in Canada where its often a bit cold, and I'm of the opinion that cold hands tremendously increase RSI risk. But this is a very person-to-person thing.
I'd like to make a keybind video, I just think its so subjective. But these are my major spell keybinds hopefully it helps. Note that any keybind with 7,8,9,0,-,= is on my naga mouse as the closest 6 buttons. I stronlgly recommend an MMO mouse, as it isnt only more convenient but also evens out hand actions between both hands instead of the keyboard hand taking all the pain.

playing caster monk in pvp is absolute crazytown. Maybe trying it in m+ ain't a bad idea
how is mistweaver in pvp overall right now? i tried it few weeks into the expansion and it was god awful
Thank you for this bro, i dont see a lot of caster mistweaver.
what trinkets, embelishment and stats should we prioritize?
I used to do the sheilun's gift build but this is way way better.
hell yea! I had faith that this build would land perfectly with anyone who vibed with the logic of it, so really happy you found some success :D
@notSachy do you have a talent build for raid?
not using sheilons is crazy right?
Maybe if they ever fix Heart of the Jade Serpent, but it’s been ‘bugged’ for 2 months at this point I’m almost sure the tooltip is just made up. But also with conduit + Yulon + revival, sheilun isn’t needed to cover any timing, it’s like 2 vivifys worth of healing.
@@notSachy i tried this build and im having trouble with AOE healing without CDS or vivify procs up. like on dawn last boss
You even have cocoon to save if you can’t top someone before the web drop overlap with poison spray in the last phase.
cell profile? :)
In the description 😁
your cell Profile dosnt work :(
Just double checked, and it works on a fresh install of the game as well as my main install. Try disabling every addon besides Cell, and importing it again
@@notSachy nope. Import: Error.
Same on an second PC

@@notSachy works now - TY
Ive played caster mw for while. Prior tww mw player base were very toxic against caster mw.
they definitely still are, not sure why. I've found a lot of communities a very inelastic to any build that's not in their guides. hopefully one day we can sim our characters for fun-having-per-second but until then the cringe will continue.
Thank you so much not a big fan of fistweaving
Cool in theory but not actually viable at the higher end
Probably correct, what key levels are defined as the higher end tho?
Not correct
depends on what you mean by higher end. Healer dps is often negligible if you aren't pushing past +13 or +14.
