Huge shoutout to Emily for making this possible. We really appreciate her time, patience, and generosity that she showed us, thank you so much for the amazing experience and for making us feel very welcomed in the UK. Links to Emily's socials are in the description, please go give her a follow.
I am so so glad we could make this happen and that you enjoyed it! If you’re ever in the area again, hit me up! It really was a lot of fun 🤩 We are always learning and getting better in our respective fields. Perfection doesn’t exist ✈️ In my opinion, being open to new experiences to give yourself opportunities to learn is as close to perfect as you can get.
You did absolutely amazing!! Flying 3 total strangers knowing it will be seen by lots of people. A lot of people would have been nervous driving a car in that situation but you nailed flying a plane!! Well done to you for this and actually going for your dreams. I'm confident that you will make damn sure you are exactly where you want to be in life, exactly when you decide you want to be there. Hats off to you Captain Emily 👏🏻
What an unexpected surprise and how thrilling to have an outing like this. It was very generous of Emily and shows that despite all the horrible things in the world, there is still kindness in the world. As for flying, it's surprising how sensitive controls are on a plane.
One of my enduring memories of Snowdonia is standing high up a mountain on a clear day watching from above a rescue helicopter fly past in the valley a few hundred of feet below me. Later that same sunny day I was having a short nap on a high ridge when I was woken by a rescue dog who thought he was rescuing a person in distress: the dog's handler insisted I play with it as a reward which was no problem as I love dogs.
Harrison Ford is familiar with the area around North Wales and Shropshire as he had a narrowboat holiday on the Llangollen canal some years ago. When he was filming Star Wars and had to spend a long time in the UK he wanted to fly his plane but, apparently, to fly in the UK you must be a member of an approved organisation so he asked if he could join Slaep flying club.
From what I recall, he became a life member of the club, not just for the year. I also recall he extended an invite to the club to pop over to his side of The Pond, and fly at his club!
What a great adventure! Emily seemed so charming and very accommodating to take you up. Got to see a good part of Snowdonia and more! hello from Denmark 🌸 🌱
I really enjoyed this video - how thrilling to see that area from the air. Been there many times as a youngster and it's a beautiful area. Emily was great and credit to our country - her desire to become an airline pilot will become reality one day.
I have to admit, never heard of Sleap, had to look it up. a much overlooked county Shropshire, what a nice gesture by Emily. There is quite a lot of military aviation activity over Wales, RAF Valley which is not far from Snowdownia, was used for pilot training by the RAF.
That was my plan! I tried the RAF aircrew selection course in Biggin Hill. If I had passed that, I didn't! I would have retired from the RAF at age 38, and then fly 747s for BOAC! But then I would have been the same age as most of the pilots lost over the Falklands so maybe it was for the best! I also would not have moved to Canada and my kids would have had different faces!
Times we live in🙂 Through a TH-cam channel meet up with people around the world and like here, get a free plain ride. What a great meeting and cheers to the pilot
Omg - how amazing!! Thank you Emily!! Snowdonia is my favourite place - I had tears streaming down my face watching that... Come back soon guys - you're so lovely - I'm sure there are hundreds of viewers that would love to be your guides and facilitators for the day... xx
I learned to fly in a 172 as well, here in America. This takes me back to my flight training days, although I hadn’t flown over mountains like this. Nice job, Emily, and good luck with your flying aspirations!
Well done to all. I’ve been walking and climbing in Snowdonia national park. One of the best places is Cadr Idris mountains. The views as the mist clears and reveals the green and purple valleys, down below are spectacular and beautiful. It almost feels spiritual. I throughly recommend it to visitors. I I ❤️ the pilot. She is fantastic. She proves you can be anything u want in life. Just go for it .
So sorry you were air sick. I was quite sick when we flew over the Nascar lines in Peru which is something my husband really wanted to see but l didn’t get much of a view other than the inside of a paper bag. I hope Emily achieves her ambition to become an airline pilot.
My brother did the Nazca flight and said he's never been so terrified in his life - and he's jumped out of a plane (different plane!). It was the size of the plane that scared him!
Loved the way that forests appeared as soon as Snowdonia was approached, and that Mount Snowden itself was pretty barren. Only need to be 4,000 ft. up for that. I was lucky enough to be aero-towed in a glider up to 5,000 ft. in the country of Somerset, and could see both the English channel to the south, and the Irish sea to the North. Really shows just how a little altitude alters your perspective. I wish everyone could gain a larger idea of the world like that.
This looks like an Awesome day out, you certainly had good weather for flying .... Massive thanks to Emily for managing to take all of you for the flight, I bet you'll those views must havre been Stunning. We will all totally blame Ethan's brother for making Angela have a case of the up-chucks...
Awesome,,,,,,,,,it would be cool to do Hadrians wall that way full width of our country,,,,great generosity Emily proper nice to see glad all went well 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Excellent ! Apart from the 'air sick' issue. Bet the views of the mountains were amazing from up there. You were only 3 miles from my house at Sleap airfield. It's a cool place to hang out with a coffee on a sunny day. The free museum on site is really interesting as well. It's an old WW2 airfield, like so many scattered through Shropshire.
Fantastic! Emily was clearly such a lovely funny and ambitious person. What a great opportunity. You really had just the most fun in the UK. And Angela's interview technique was spot on 😀. I don't know how you filmed from outside into the plane. Totally awesome. 🎉✈️🐑🐑🐑🐑
What a lovely gesture by Breadstick. This proved to be a very different vlog and so informative. I first flew at age 6 in 1954 in a small plane from Blackpool airfield around Blackpool Tower and back. I stood up all the way because I wasn't big enough to see out of the windows. I have since flown in a Cessna, an Air Atlantique Dakota, a tiny Robinson helicopter and literally hundreds of modern jets of all descriptions. Don't feel bad about chucking up. It happens quite often although I have never been air sick at all. But I was once sea sick whilst fishing from a small rowing boat out of Bridlington harbour. To my shame, I almost threw up whilst on a trip on a canal narrow boat. So always take a sick bag with you on a plane. On a boat you can simply lean over the side and feed the fish.
" what a cool thing to do" it reminds me of me flying over the Golden gate bridge in a Seaplane whilst looking at Alcatraz prison and the Bay it was fantastic .you really see things differently. Was it better than me flying in a Helicopter around New York city,USA whilst seeing the Statue of liberty and so on..... My profile pic is me sat in a Helicopter as you can see!! The airport you landed at is where my favourite beach is, and I will always tell people that Caernarfon is my favourite place in the world. Also had a flight in an aircraft from that airport. They’re bloody lovely. I don’t know about you but just when you think Wales can’t be any more beautiful once you see it from the air it just exceeds everything

Great opportunity, even if you did seem a bit nervous ! I flew in a small aircraft when my uncle was training at Bristol Flying School, you really feel you are flying as if flown around in the wind.
This has to be one of the coolest videos you've uploaded. What a thrill it must have been. I especially liked when Emily reminded Ethan's brother that there was a mountain ahead! Well done to all of you, and a special thanks to your flying host Emily.
For anyone who's never flown in a light aircraft, it's like being in a Mini Cooper at 4,000 feet. A lot of pilots are only too happy to take people up for an experience because it helps pay for the fuel and gets hours under their belt as pilots. Give it a go!
Thanks for sharing this. I got my private pilot license when I was in my 30s. (I'm 75 now.) I only flew a few times on my own before I moved and didn't continue flying. So this was an exciting video to see.
Great video guys. Emily seems like quite a character and an awesome pilot. Good to see my native county of Shropshire getting some attention. Angela sorry you had air sickness.. I took a glider trip recently and had the same issue. I was mortified at the time but can look back now and laugh about it (not sure the pilot would feel the same way!) ps is it just me or does Sean sound just like Chris from Family Guy 🙂
What a great opportunity for you all.... And such a gracious hostess (not meant in the aeronautical term). I felt for you Angela when you threw up...flying is not my best either.
That must have been a lovely surprise for all of you. Some fantastic views for sure, i'm surprised a bit of turbulence made you so sick. I haven't flown since 1971, coming home from Ibiza on a night flight. We hit a terrible storm over the sea, and the aircraft nearly did a roll over. That was it for me, never again ever lol. Great video folks keep em coming.
That has to be my favourite Video that I’ve watched on your Channel so far especially with Emily mentioning that Coventry was a part of her Aviation training at 8:53 or just after as I grew up in the 70’s & 80’s just down the road in Meriden village (Centre of England) which I may have mentioned previously, Loved the variety of Camera angles & the audio integration between the Pilot & ATC, Was the one Camera on a Gimbal as it puzzled me the fact that it moved around and what was up with Angela’s Headset, Was it just faulty or did a Switch or Knob not get pressed or turned? Huge Respect & Fair Play to Emily & the Sleap Flying Club for doing that for you all and that was awesome! ❤️✈️🇬🇧🇺🇸
Wow loved this episode; Emily is amazing to be flying at such a young age 04.22 Emily said 'If they're doing my head in' not 'much of anything' as the caption said it's a UK term meaning really annoying haha
As highlights go, that was "high"! You really did have such a memorable trip that you'll be able to bore your friends and families for years to come. Just remember, you've only scratched the surface of the UK. There's so much more to see....................................the ancient Englishman.
What an amazing day. I haven't done it for quite a few years but flying a small plane over the countryside is a great and new way to see the landscape. I had a flight instructor who loved to point out Roman and ancient features features that could only be seen from the air. I've also flown out of Renton, WA with my old man in a Cessna 152, which was amazing, especially flying up to Mount St. Helens a year or so after the eruption.
Around the Welsh mountains the aircraft of a number of nations carry out low level flying training. There’s a part called the Mach Loop where the operational aircraft (mainly US and UK fighters and and the tactical C130 type ) really go for it through the same type of valley system albeit tighter turns. You should be able to search for it on you tube. Photographers stand on the hills above the a/c flying through. That was a great vid and a wonderful experience for you, I hope you keep in touch with your new friend and of course “the brother” really values the experience. Cheers both
That was just awesome guys and must have been one of the biggest highlights of your trip to the UK. How did you get those great shots on the exterior of the plane 😮?
Formerly known as RAF Sleap, the airfield dates from WW2 and at the very end we could see A C-47 with D-Day invasion stripes taxying in the background. Great content as usual.
I believe it is an Avro Anson (G-VROE) not a C 47, It is too small and the windows are wrong, the undercarriage is not the same and the rudder has a different profile.
@@eyesofisabelofficial It's surprising how similar they look, I wasn't sure at first. And more common to see a Dakota than an Anson so no worries. Gotta love the Anson :)
No wonder the inside of the aircraft is looking a bit tired, it was manufactured in 1977 so is now 45 years old. The young pilot said you learn things all the time. Lesson for today obviously, in future take along a few sick bags, just in case!
Very impressive, while you were in/over Snowdonia you should have checked out Mach Loop, look on TH-cam and see what it is about and whether you would like to try it out, you lucky people :)

Cheers both
Check out 'Elwyn R' on TH-cam for some great Mach Loop footage.
Wow... Thank you Emily! What a gal!...🛫
That was just awesome guys and must have been one of the biggest highlights of your trip to the UK. How did you get those great shots on the exterior of the plane 😮?
GoPro Max. 360 camera mounted to the wing strut :))
You can see Emily checking the GoPro before take off.
Emily provided it with Gopro footage
Formerly known as RAF Sleap, the airfield dates from WW2 and at the very end we could see A C-47 with D-Day invasion stripes taxying in the background.
Great content as usual.
I believe it is an Avro Anson (G-VROE) not a C 47, It is too small and the windows are wrong, the undercarriage is not the same and the rudder has a different profile.
@@uncoolmartin460 I stand corrected 🙂
@@eyesofisabelofficial It's surprising how similar they look, I wasn't sure at first. And more common to see a Dakota than an Anson so no worries. Gotta love the Anson :)
@@uncoolmartin460 Avro Anson 👍
what an achievement and what an experience ...... so so lucky for you and us that you could record this
Vomiting inside a very small plane. That's one to remember.
Emily is 👏 amazing
No wonder the inside of the aircraft is looking a bit tired, it was manufactured in 1977 so is now 45 years old. The young pilot said you learn things all the time. Lesson for today obviously, in future take along a few sick bags, just in case!
100%! In fact, I did a similar trip for a neighbour and this lesson came in very handy 👀
Amazing Emily!
Wow, this was nice for you guys and you were very lucky to have to experience and Sean got to fly! 👍
Very impressive, while you were in/over Snowdonia you should have checked out Mach Loop, look on TH-cam and see what it is about and whether you would like to try it out, you lucky people :)
